Wow! This track really deserves a Wow-signal. When we first heard this track we all had our jars dropped. This beautiful melodic house jam plays in its own league.
But let's start from the beginning: When our label honcho Christian Hirt held a masterclass with producers who bought his sample pack "Cyclopedia", one part of the extended class was to showcase tracks and demos of the participants and talk about their music. This track came up during that session and Chris thought if not the producer of that track should host the masterclass instead. Chris offered to sign the track and give it a special shout-out. We're happy that the artist agreed to trust us as his dedicated label and so we are presenting this wonderful piece of music to you this week. SUCHOS featuring Brí's track, TAKE ME HOME, will hopefully not only take over Chris' heart by storm but also yours soon. Give it a shot and enjoy the music.

Damion ‘Damo’ Houchen, aka Genix, presents new remixes of ‘Numb’ (with LYCA), the lead single from his debut artist album ‘199X’.

This latest remix package features two chill out mixes of ‘Numb’ from Damo, as well as a remix from Anjunabeats newcomer Bexxie. 

Rebecca Clements, aka Bexxie, has been producing and DJing since the 1990s. Influenced by modern techno, early 90’s hardcore and tech house, her music has been supported by David Guetta, Mark Knight, Sam Feldt and Jax Jones. She debuted on Anjunabeats in December 2021 with ‘In Your Hands’, and supported Above & Beyond at Big Night Live, Boston.

Since the album’s release in September 2021, Genix has taken ‘199X’ to Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 450 celebrations at The Drumsheds London, and to the USA and UK for the first leg of his world tour.

Canadian producers Glenn Morrison and Paul Keeley join forces on the ‘Be Nice EP’.

Having released on Bedrock and Mau5trap, Toronto-based producer Glenn Morrison makes his Anjunabeats debut. Glenn has collaborated with many artists including David Morales and Colin Benders, and on the pop side, he released the double-platinum selling chart hit ‘Goodbye’ in 2013, which was a number one on the Canadian Billboard chart for eleven weeks running, and Number 1 Billboard chart placement in 7 countries to date. Also a renowned DJ, Glenn held a residency at Ibiza’s legendary Amnesia club for three years, as well as residencies at Space Ibiza and Miami, and the Marquee & Rain in Las Vegas.

An early veteran of Anjunadeep, Paul Keeley helped shape the sound of the label with releases such as ‘A Sort Of Homecoming’, ‘Cloud 9’ and ‘Life Aquatic’. His track ‘Paper Jet’ was selected by Above & Beyond to open Anjunabeats Volume 6. Paul’s first release in four years, the ‘Be Nice EP’ recaptures the groovy, progressive sound of the late 2000’s.

The French-Canadian newspaper Le Devoir called it an album “that exposes the richness of the musical culture of the Antilles to the entire planet”, whilst global music magazine Songlines called it “message-driven, lovingly made; an album to play on repeat.” The album saw equally fervent recognition on radio, quickly reaching #1 on the NCAA world music charts and garnering support from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, and Sian Eleri at BBC Radio 1, Don Letts and Radcliffe & Maconie at BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 3, NPR, NTS, KCRW, KEXP, SiriusXM Chill, Resonance FM, Radio X, Jazz FM and Worldwide FM.
 
Now, almost six months later, Anjunadeep is proud to announce ‘Leave the Bones (Remixed)’, an eclectic collection of remixes featuring a worldly swathe of pioneering artists including DJ Koze, Henrik Schwarz, NERO, Michael Brun, Laolu, Gardy Girault, Martin Roth, and more. A patient, heavily filtered groove and piano-based lead set a deep and mysterious tone in the early going. The sensual soundscape is enhanced by haunting vocal accents, as well as resonant bass layers (an artist signature). As the opening build begins to wind back down, gorgeous piano lines begin to emerge, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring breakdown. Specifically, in the break, the emotive piano theme is joined by a plaintive "Who are you" vocal refrain. Energetic, trance-influenced synths follow, creating an aura of almost overwhelming suspense. Finally, the deep rhythm drops back into the mix, which crescendoes to absolutely glorious effect.

The incomparable Shingo Nakamura begins his eighth year as a contributor to our imprint with the one and only remix of "Daydream". Fans of the Japanese virtuoso are already well aware that he is capable of writing superlative music in a wide variety of genres; given the deeper vibes in the original mix, he has chosen to inject a shot of adrenaline into his interpretation. Side-chained pads and electrifying chords establish the peak-hour sound early. In the breakdown, the gorgeous piano motif from the original mix is solo'd and then later joined, once again, by layered, goosebumps-inducing pads and chords. The drop to follow is absolutely thrilling -- easily one of the most emotive, intelligent, and anthemic arrangements of Shingo's storied career.
