Carter Kemist aka Pacific Numen recently planted his roots in Calgary after living on the East Coast for the greater part of his adult life. One to let his music do the talking, Carter’s knowledge in Dubstep runs deep.

Having closely followed the genre since its inception in the early 2000’s, Carter is an outspoken individual who prides himself in his staggering vinyl collection and of course, his record label, Vinyl Vigilance. Boasting major releases from artists such as Kromestar / Cluekid / K Man / Krytikal / L Nix / Repulsion & nova. Creating Canada's single active (vinyl exclusive) Dubstep record label.

As a deejay, Carter has flexed on many systems including the infamous 40Hz Soundsystem (Toronto.) As well Tsunami Bass (New York.) Opening for the likes of Hatcha, Kahn, Dubamine & Distinct Motive (Toronto / Ottawa.) Joe Nice, Commodo (Calgary). Playing alongside K Man, RDG & Cluekid (Brooklyn, NY.)

Having always been around electronic music, Carter has an ear, and collection that leaves room for all styles. A top advocate of Dubstep / Grime, there is not much that slips under his radar.

We can't get enough of London based producer Sentients dark industrial beats. His signature eerie atmospheres, twisted melodies and  deranged bass are all intact as per, but here he slows the bpm for that EXTRAA DREADDDD... Joined by fellow animals Ceiva & Kahter this EP is not one to miss!!!

This month Ewski is welcoming the Estonian talent - q100 and Wrocław-based adept of low frequencies - eSound.

q100 is a producer / DJ from Tallinn. Being an apprentice with some of the scene's biggest talents, Slava has come a long way since making his first loop on a DAW: unique melodies, perfected percussions and heavy basslines is what signatures his production work. Besides releasing on the well-established Locus Sound, FatKidOnFire and Frozen Plates, he also spearheads the Bass372 Records imprint. q100's sound continues to evolve, so there’s no doubt we will be hearing much more from him in the years to come.

eSound - an explorer of deep sound, drifting between the dimensions of the darkness and the lightness of the beat. A collector of strange melodies and bass psychedelia at 140 BPM and a crew member of DAT, Medulla Oblongata & Monkey Dimensions. At the controls since 2012 - he played at many club and outdoor events in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. His selection is a mix of bass vibrations and focuses on the eclectic spectrum of the sound. Every opportunity to present a musical journey is an invaluable experience for him.
