Techgnosis Sessions 057 - KODA [AR]

For the last 4 consecutive years Christian Di Marco and I close the Chill Island at Esoteric Festival, as always with a backdrop of a breath taking sunset. Fellow travellers make this pilgrimage to experience the lowering of the sun.  And with it we provide the soundtrack, a psychedelic worldly approach combining mid tempo bass and down tempo tracks with an emphasis on Middle Eastern Sounds and prayer.

And so we improvised the entire set with a blend of djing, off-the-cuff selection, vocals, and instruments by Christian. 

I can't begin to describe my elation at how deep, and psychedelic this set is. In a way it kind of is a love letter to our musical influences and early festival experiences. 

Travel with us to the east for some earthly bass tones and syncopated grooves.

Starting out playing the NSW psy scene as psy/prog/progpsy dj Mandala in the 2010s, I’ve since shifted my focus to smaller parties and a deeper vibe. Over the last 5 years I’ve been involved in putting on private parties, celebrating togetherness and a shared love of music. In this time, I’ve played dozens of these parties, sharing many sets per multiday party, structuring and honing the energy carefully to create maximum vibe while matching the general flow of the party.
