Pleasurekraft return to Drumcode on remix duties after a 2 year hiatus with all engines on the Cosmic Techno ship firing.  Big-room atmospheric drums and an infectious call and response hook intertwine with Green Velvet's otherworldly vocals to produce a new highly visceral and steroid injected version of the original.  The "Space Date" remix marks the sixth collaboration between the seminal purveyors of the Cosmic Techno sub-genre, Pleasurekraft, and Chicago's iconic dance music pioneer Green Velvet. 

The remix initially came about after Drumcode head Adam Beyer heard Pleasurekraft's "Welcome to the Universe" EP [Kraftek] at the end of 2018.  A huge supporter of the Swedish/American production duo, Adam felt so inspired by the whole EP, especially "Main Sequence" that the opportunity for Pleasurekraft to take their love of all things space related lent itself naturally to the thematic elements in Green Velvet's vocals. 

The track's spine is built around a hypnotic groove that is anchored to a single word from the original's vocals : "ecstasy" and slowly builds to the first climax of the record where the listener finally hears Green Velvet's vocals in full for the first time.  However it isn't until the second break of the track that the power of the remix is finally unsheathed, resetting the groove and building up to a second swell featuring a duo of call and response melodies between the lead hook and a lower end bass that takes the intensity of the track up another notch - ultimately culminating in complete silence that gives way to the remix's original heartbeat and repeating mantra: "ecstasy". 

Taking over a month of studio time to complete, it was road tested for the first time at Pleasurekraft's Fabric London gig, where there was no shortage of inquiries as to the ID of the record.  This soon became a repeating theme after Adam Beyer first included it on DCR446 and played it during both of his Ultra Miami (Resistance) sets, including his closing b2b set with Maceo Plex who loved the track so much he proceeded to get his own copy and play it during his own solo set one week later at Time Warp in Germany.  

Multiple clips of the remix have already gone viral on various social media and blog outlets, with no shortage of fans waiting anxiously for the June 24 release date on Adam Beyer's own Drumcode Records. In Adam Beyer's own words, Pleasurekraft are "setting new standards" with their continued foray into the Cosmic Techno sub-genre they continue to define.

A rising star of the Italian techno scene, Stiv Hey has been steadily rising through the ranks with his releases on labels including Spektre's Respekt, Spartaque's Codex and Dubfire's SCI+TEC. 

Already playing regular DJ gigs across Europe, this four track EP is testament to Stiv Hey's innate intuition of how to work a dance floor.

'Engage' opens the release with a thundering bassline and pulsating rhythms, before the dark and stripped back groove of 'Sonder' ramps up the tension. Tearing out the speakers are the epic pads of 'Techniques' and boxing off the EP is an intense intro mix of Engage.

StoKed returns on Deep Therapy with a 2-tracker heavy hitter EP 'Deeper Passion' including a superb remix by Irish duo Loco & Jam who are best known for their works on labels like Drumcode and Tronic to name a few.

'Deeper Passion' opens the release with pitched tom drums, fizzing hi-hats and a pounding kick drum at the heart of its full throttle groove. Throwing in a healthy dollop of acid and some twisted vocals, it has all the ingredients needed to set the dance floor alight in a frenzy of peak time excitement.

Loco & Jam take a stripped back approach to their remix of 'Deeper Passion' that focuses on the original's twisted vocal. Adding additional atmospherics and other hypnotic elements it's still got the solid foundation needed to rock the dance floor, but does it in a more understated way than the ecstasy of the in your face original.

Closing the release is the gritty groove of the second original titled 'The People' taking its name from the vocal sample. Slowly ramping up the tension with a series of drops that draw focus to the hard-hitting bottom end and kick drum, the track hits its peak with the euphoria introduced in the main break that morphs to become sinister and more intense as things unfold.
