Therapy Session #019 - Guest: Highestpoint

Toronto-based Producer/Vocalist, Amber Long, has trademarked a sound that is svelte and uniquely hers. Anytime Amber Long performs live, she plays her own material and that of the artists she works with.

Amber’s many monikers for various elements of her creativity also include OPL for her techno productions, ALRM with her studio partner Robert Mason and going under her own name – Amber Long for her vocalist productions, she is sought after and supported by big name artists and well-known labels.

Amber Long has been performing live for over a decade and broke into the international DJ scene playing at Ministry of Sound in London (UK) first, followed shortly thereafter with gigs in Qatar, Greece, the Netherlands, Israel, Argentina, the USA and has an upcoming gig in Mexico in June.

Amber also runs Toronto-based label, Modern Agenda and focuses on giving back to the artists.

Anti-Slam & W.E.A.P.O.N. are brothers from the UK. Formed in 2011, they have been quickly gaining pace with their distinctive, groove-driven Techno sound having released on Bitten, Tronic, Toolroom, Deeperfect, 1605 Music Therapy, Natura Viva, Driving Forces, Pornographic, Respekt, Sabotage, Funk’n Deep and their own labels, Jumpstereo Records and Jumpmono Records.

During the past few years their productions have gained huge support from Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Umek, Sam Paganini, 2000 & One, Jay Lumen, Stefano Noferini, Sian, Monika Kruse, Christian Varela & many more.

When it comes to DJing they are no strangers to the scene, having played for some of the most well known brands in the world including Cocoon, Meganite and Global Gathering.

Therapy Session #022 - Guest: Marck D

Greek techno maestro Kostas Maskalides has emerged as a master craftsman when it comes to modern dance music production. 

Known for his ability to create chaos on any dance-floor, he has been captivating audiences across Europe by showcasing futuristic cutting-edge electronic music performances that set him apart from anything ordinary. 

It’s in the studio however where the real magic happens and the result of countless hours of work invested to tailor and master his own sound-craft which led him to produce pristine examples of brilliantly executed techno in the form of original production or remix. 
With a background of 20 years experience in the field of sound engineering Kostas began to produce in 2010.
Deeply influenced by the industry’s legendary pioneers such as Gary Beck, Alan Fitzpatrick, Len Faki and Mark Broom (to name a few), Kostas developed his own sonic signature, an extravaganza of obscure atmospherics, solid low end and raw fierce energy evident in his sound.

His productions are constantly featured on every major techno podcast worldwide, played and supported regularly by the industry’s big players such as Joseph Capriati, Sasha Carassi, Umek, Tom Hades, Giorgio Gigli, Mikael Jonasson, Sven Wittekind and many more, 

Kostas is credited in the scene as one of Greece's best techno exports constantly pushing the envelope of innovation and diversity.

Therapy Session #024 - Guest: Byron Gilliam

The Reactivitz can be considered as one of those fast-rising artists whose skills and perseverance allowed him to reach the support of the techno music industry. 

2016 was a significant year for The Reactivitz, particularly because he signed on labels such as Toolroom, Phobiq, Footwork, Transmit, 1605, Bitten, Funk’n Deep to name a few. His sound, characterized by dark atmospheres, loud drums and groovy basslines, has been highlighted by many producers worldwide.

"I just want to create a different kind of techno sound, so that people can recognized me when they listen to a track of mine in a club." 

He had the opportunity to remix and collaborate with artists such as Jay Lumen, Spartaque, D-Unity, Durtysoxxx, Matt Minimal, Skober, Alex Di Stefano and many others. The Reactivitz's sound continues to evolve in order to elevate the underground music movement and becoming a recognized artist worldwide.

After being interested in all sorts of music since a very young age, @IlijaDjokovic soon realized that electronic music was where his heart is truly at.

Ilija started DJing back in 2010 and from that time to his current position as one of the rising individuals on Balkan techno scene, he continued to challenge and innovate his work. Known for his energetic sets made of melodic and euphoric techno, this DJ has a sense to read the crow and deliver exactly what’s needed on the dancefloor.

Ilija is also making music as considered and carefully crafted as his DJ sets with releases on labels like Phobiq, Driving Forces, Funk’n Deep, Renesanz and Tauten. He is doing powerful techno tracks that have a great feedback both by his fans and renowned names such as Adam Beyer, UMEK, Hernan Cattaneo, Fabio Florido, Sam Paganini, Cristian Varela and Mark Knight.

Djokovic has worked with some of the most notable names on the scene with the likes of Dubifre, Nakadia, Loco & Jam, Tania Vulcano, D-Unity, Matt Sassari among others.

Emerging from the Toronto underground, Weska's passion for the electronic music scene first began with a pair of newmark TT500s and a two channel mixer. Years later, he found his way into the studio. Now having recently been supported by the likes of Dosem, Bart Skils, and the Octopus and Drumcode families, he seems to be fulfilling his childhood dreams, yet the journey has just begun.

Melodic yet at times dark, his vision within the studio has consistently translated into distinct and commanding tracks. Embodying his energetic spirit, his productions land on the dance-floor with immense vitality. Currently building a strong fan-base both local and abroad, Toronto clubs have presented Weska with a platform to breach the international music scene. CODA, Maison, Red, and Hoxton are but a few of the venues that have housed the young producer. With big things in the works and an inexhaustible passion for music, the future looks bright for the rising artist.

Many Reasons is the project of Michele and Raffaele, a duo of producers hailing from North Italy. The guys have made their name thanks to their unique trademark style of old school Techno vibes mixed with new musical experimentations, where dark and deep atmospheres create the ambience for more intricate moods. Complex sonic landscapes grab the listener’s attention, bringing the club experience to another level. Their ear for the more melodic side of the underground sounds has seen them release an impressive number of EPs on labels such as Richie Hawtin’s Minus and Carl Cox’s Intec, and on their own Amazing Records, which - now in its 8th year - has gained widespread praise and positive feedback from most DJs. Their touring schedule has brought them to perform at renowned clubs such as Watergate and Weekend (Berlin) and at festivals like Balaton Sound and B My Lake.

Therapy Session #030 - Guest: Alan Hash

Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ignacio Arfeli is one of the youngest rising talents of the techno scene. Receiving an EMBA in Electronic Music two years ago, Ignacio decided to stick with techno for his productions, characterized essentially with a darker vibe, cold atmosphere, and aggressive linear percussions, doing what he does best.
