During ADE, Aleks @ Breakfast Club (Deeptrax, Natural Sciences) astounded us with his deep live-set, full of sonic pleasures and mind blowing acid lines.  Aleks played alongside DVS1 and Levon Vincent and made us as Deeptrax proud with his next level dancefloor deepness. Doing it all live, hardware only, with booming breakbeats, deeper analogue beats and lo-fi sounds, building it slowly into one big manic party, setting the massive club "Radion" in aural flames.

With this one-take-recorded vinyl DJ set Aleks shows besides his ultimate live skills that he's a great DJ too with influences from the likes of Jay Daniel, Roger 23, Greg Beato, Omar S and labels as Sex Tags towards Chicago Skyway and Chicago's finest producers Steve Poindexter, Armando & the legendary Mike Dunn. One take vinyl recording for spontaneous fun and pleasure....................

When I'm recording mix, I do not try to tell some kind of deep storytelling. More likely I try to mix up different sub-genres of acid based house music from early 90's till nowaday releases. If we would talk about what I'm producing, then I could tell some stories behind those tracks haha!

For example: third track of my "Synthtetic Pastime" EP named B25 is with a story about a girl who wanted to try LSD for the first time in her life, sadly that wasn't what it supposed to be. It was some kind of replacement called B25 and she had the baddest trip in her life which ended up being in anxiety. By the storytelling of a girl you can hear that track is going from kinda happy music to rough and hard acid music, like the trip that girl had.

Recording of our not-so-warm-up set at @opiumclub X birthday party with @loweakauser. Energy of the room was through the roof right from the start so we had no choice but to do what we know best - make 'em dance.

I like to explore music, all kinds of music, coming from all around the world. That is true, that during parties I play exclusively dance music, I try to bring joy to the guest and make them dance using modern and classic club sounds. I want to send the message that electronic music is not only parties, dancing and entertainment. 

For a long time I had this though about not-dance-oriented one hour long journey or journeys, with a palette full of creations from Japanese electronics to partly live 80s Polish and other nations' music, jazz, ambient and so on. 

Have a good one! It will be soft, for a few minutes maybe harsh, maybe a bit sad but this journey will make you smile too.

Our main gig catalyst was Vilnius-based artist and promoter Lowe Aka User and this mix is a present from him.
