From the eastern suburbs of Melbourne come The Bean Project, a vibrant French horn-clad acoustic quintet blending the raw untreated sounds of folk, jazz and singer-songwriter - most aptly described as 'the odd marriage of James Taylor and The Cat Empire'.

Listening to various forms of rock, ranging Pink Floyd, Santana, The Cure, Green Day, ACDC and beyond, Melbourne born singer/songwriter, Daniel Currie, gathered most of his musical influence from his Dad from a young age. Also taking a lot of influence from 90s’ ‘Triple J Hottest 100’ albums, it didn't take long before Daniel picked up his dad’s guitar, and started playing the songs he identified best with.
At the age of 16, Daniel bought his very own guitar and began playing to his friends and family around campfires, and at general meetups every chance he got. With comments that he had a voice to be heard, he spent more and more time playing music, and developed an interest in writing his own songs. His ever-growing collection now consists of over 50 compete songs, and shows no sign of slowing.
After commencing his study in Industrial Design, Daniel found himself longing to play music more than his studies would allow. He realised he would be unhappy unless he pursued music full time as a profession, and transferred to the Australian Collage of the Arts to study Music Performance. 
Now 22 years old, Daniel has completed his studies, recorded an EP, and both accompanied and unaccompanied performs covers and his original music live around Melbourne. He is keen to further develop as a musician and composer, working together with other artists in a multitude of concurrent projects, with the aspiration of living as musical a life as possible.

The Maes are harmony-singing, song-writing, banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle playing, Melbourne based, folk-music-raised sisters Maggie and Elsie Rigby (Formerly The Mae Trio).

Melbourne sister duo Charm of Finches delivers intricate folk-pop that is simultaneously graceful and darkly bewitching. Their seamless blood harmonies traverse melancholy and wonder in equal measure.

The sisters, Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes, released their third full length album Wonderful Oblivion in 2021 through New York-based label AntiFragile Music to critical acclaim. They have since toured extensively through the UK, Europe and Canada in 2022/23.

Winners of the Australian Folk Music Awards Best Folk Album (2022) and Music Victoria Best Contemporary Folk Act (2021), their music has been nominated twice for the prestigious Australian Music Prize.

In February 2023 the sisters spent a month in rural Nova Scotia recording with acclaimed Canadian producer Daniel Ledwell (Jenn Grant, Oh Pep!), inspired by the frozen beauty of the landscape and their transient life on the road with their music. The result is their fourth studio album to be released in 2024.
