Über junge Leben die älter werden, alte Gedanken in neuen Gewändern, Pläne und Träume davon wie es laufen könnte. Ich laufe. Gerade so. Ein Fuß vor den anderen, den Rhythmus suchend. Find so oft die Wörter nicht, die das hier alles erklären. Ist das Glas jetzt halbvoll, halb leer. Alles verschwimmt, weil ich eh immer nachschenke. Diese Stadt, die gerade noch so laut war. Es ist leise jetzt. Über mir steht ein Fenster offen. Und Musik. Schließe die Augen und höre zu. 
Höre eine Stimme. Sie singt. Zigarettenrauch und Melodien, an einem beliebigen Sonntagmorgen im Januar. Gehe langsam weiter. Es wird schon weitergehen, denke ich mir. Die Hoffnung und Erwartung an das neue Jahr überwiegt für einen kurzen Moment die Erschöpfung. Will dünnhäutiger werden, mehr spüren. Auch wenns manchmal kalt wird. Hab ja Jacken. Gedankensprünge überkommen mich, ich laufe und schaue und höre und spüre, die Luft ist kalt und riecht nach Vorsätzen. Let's see, denke ich, und schließe die Augen.

As part of their celebratory Kontra-Musik-X remix package - Sebastien Mullaert (a.k.a Minilogue) presents here his remix of Jonsson & Alter’s 'Brevet Hem'. His work is an incandescent and experimental revision that has so far garnered support from the likes of DJ Koze, Midland, Dixon, Ben UFO, Dorisburg and Laurent Garnier and even comes inclusive of a piece of creative spoken poetry.

The ongoing celebration of Kontra-Musik’s 10 years’ anniversary is basically a recognition of the importance of charisma within the predominantly mechanical sphere of electronic music. To quote label boss Ulf Eriksson in a recent Groove interview: “To release on Kontra you need to have developed a unique and personal sound. If you are one of the machines out there producing electronic music for the dead, look elsewhere.”

Immaculately produced and deftly layered as ever - Mullaert’s work is buoyant, alive and capacious in depth. Progress steadily snowballs through gentle chord changes that gather percussive flickers and textural embellishments as together, they head towards a truly unique conclusion that shows the label’s aforementioned core values translated into practice. At the close of remix, Mullaert displays his artistic flair in reciting a poem he’s written himself in Swedish based on the track’s theme and title ‘Brevet Hem’ which translates to ‘Letter Home’, tying together notions of connection over distance.

Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher’s third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill, feeling and depth of style that the artist has honed over a period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus-years, emotionally. And full-length it is: The Golden Ravedays is an epic album of 24 tracks that was released in January 2017 and is stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during a one-year period on record label, Hippie Dance. 

The second chapter of The Golden Ravedays saga, due for release in February 2017 introduces two further tracks of the haunting sound adventure. Side A introduces a very surprising spectacle of sound entitled What do you miss? This track is unlike anything Superpitcher has released in the past. What do you miss? is diving into a river, serenely floating past visions that bring calm, just to be overwhelmed by jazzy white waters of saxophone and primal animal poetry all the way from forests long forgotten. Let’s Play Doctor is aptly titled as one can’t help but imagine a satellite-propelled ambulance meandering through the galaxies without any haste or emergency whatsoever. Almost 20 minutes in length, Let’s Play Doctor never bores. It’s a playful tribute to taking one’s time in enjoying the very now.

Apollo proudly presents the ‘All The Keys Are Here’ EP, Sebastian Mullaert’s beguiling debut on the label following collaborations with Mathew Jonson, Eitan Reiter, Aril Brikha and Ulf Eriksson, as well as releases for Hypercolour, Drumcode, Mule Musiq and Kontra Musik. 
While most well-known historically for his widescreen melodic techno as one half of Minilogue, Mullaert’s compositions for ‘All The Keys Are Here’ draw on a lusher, more organic palette of sounds, thrumming with intimate inner vibrations. Originating from piano based improvisations, these four musical excursions embrace simplicity through repetition and sparse arrangements that make for an ecstatic, enveloping listening experience.

Sebastian’s studio sessions and live performances take influence from his Zen spiritual practices and meditative techniques, with inspiration provided by the serenity and simplicity of the forest close to his home studio in the majestic Röstånga woods (next to Söderåsen National park)

Sebastian's strong desire to explore new sonic territories is rooted in his background as a classical violinist and pianist, which he had set aside to explore the deep and meditative potentialities of the dance-floor / techno music. 

A recent highlight of this evolution was his 2016 live collaboration with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich in Switzerland (known for their boundary pushing work on bridging the divide between classical and electronic). As part of this memorable event, a number of Mullaert's tracks were orchestrated and reinterpreted for a six-piece chamber group, (harp, piano, violin, cello, clarinet and French horn). Indeed two of the tracks featured on ‘All The Keys Are Here’; “Every Moment I Am” and “Earth Blossom” were part of the concert repertoire. 

‘All The Keys Are Here's shimmering sonic panoramas perfectly summarise this exciting new chapter in Sebastian Mullaert’s ongoing musical journey and partnership with Apollo.
