This set featuring Subzero & MC Shabba was originally recorded at the Innovation & One Nation ‘Bass Heavy’ event in August 2011 at Proud 2 (now called Building Six).

Both Subzero & Shabba will be playing at the next Bass Heavy party on 26th August, Subzero alongside Original Sin, Skibadee & Harry Shotta, and Shabba with fellow SASASAS members Macky Gee, Phantasy & Stormin. Check out the full line up on the Facebook event page

Part 2 of my look at Helter Skelter in 1996, this time it's all about the JUNGLE!

In the Summer of 1996 I was cleaning my bedroom and decided to stick Radio One on, it was broadcasting live from Tribal Gathering and John Peel introduced 2 DJs that would change my life forever, DJ Vibes and DJ Rap. Rap and MC Jakes & Joe Peng were only on the radio for 20 minutes but I was hooked on drum & bass as soon as the first track dropped! From 1996 to around 2002 I bought a LOT of D&B vinyl and to this day I've still got hundreds of records that bring back some amazing memories. I hope you enjoy this mix, crackles, mistakes and all!
