Shinobi Yurei, a Brisbane based producer and DJ known for his dark and grimey sounds. He takes inspiration from multiple genres, and the beautiful sounds of many countries. Carefully crafting low end bass music akin to a Japanese swordmaker with his blades. Having music earn radio airtime on RinseFM and Subtle Radio and released music on labels such as Reloaded Sounds, Styx Recordings, Dread or Dead, Xyberware and many more, he has an extensive discography of sounds made to shake up a dancefloor and 
weaponize most DJs sets.

BIOGRAPHY // FUSION
Quincy Oyenuga, better known by his musical alias ‘Fusion’ is a Rapper/Grime MC hailing from Newham, East London. He is considered an integral part of the resurgence of grime and first debuted as an MC on Lord of the Mics VII compilation in 2015. Over subsequent years, Fusion released a series of singles and remixes, which established him as a versatile artist and featured artists including Ghetts, AJ Tracey, Big Zuu and Novelist. He is of Nigerian heritage and cites classic homegrown sounds/styles from both Britain and Nigeria in his musical inspiration.
Growing up in the cultural hub of London and within a family that welcomed music and culture into their home, expressive arts quickly established as a passion for Fusion. He draws inspiration from artists that were prevalent in his childhood including Fela Kuti and Michael Jackson. Throughout his school life, Fusion explored drama and acting, as well as music lessons. It was music that was to stick with Fusion and become the focus for his expression and career.
Inspired by various sounds and styles from his upbringing and social environment, Fusion has explored musical genres throughout his career, earning him the artist name ‘Fusion’. Self-coining his sound as a ‘mood’, Fusion is propelled by pushing his creative boundaries and seeing him work within grime, afrobeats and rock music.
Fusion worked alongside grime collective Boy Better Know and established a strong connection with Jammer, which led to a feature on the ‘Lord Of The Mics VII’ soundtrack. His track ‘Don’t Get Me Mad’ was well received throughout the scene and sparked a remix featuring a number of established artists including AJ Tracey, Big Zuu, Novestlist. The track was played by BBC Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale.
In late 2015 the single ‘Newham’ was released, including a remix featuring Ghetts and Mic Ty. Establishing himself as a pivotal member of grimes resurgence, Fusion debuted his first project in 2016, the same year that he accompanied Skepta to the Mercury Awards, fuelling a deeper drive and understanding of the music industry. ‘Genesis’ EP, a 4-track EP featured ‘No’, produced by Five Nine and was positioned as a stark reminder of what makes up grime’s sonic backbone while ‘Rudeboy’, ‘Sell Me A Dream’, and the Fusion produced ’24 Hours Riddim’ garnered acclaim from iD, Complex & Mixmag. 
At the beginning of 2017, Complex named Fusion as one of ‘13 British Emcees Destined For A Big 2017’. He subsequently released a string of music that positioned him within mainstream media. ‘For The Crime’ was championed by KISS FM DJ and famed producer Rude Kid, who made the record his ‘Riddim Of The Week’ on the Bauer station and Apple Music’s Rebecca Judd who made it her Track of the Day. The track was also covered across MixMag, Notion and Complex, who’s review stated, “The pulsating grime production has a nostalgic feel, and the Eastender harnesses this to spray pure and utter flames”.
 
 
Having spent further time exploring production, artistry and style, Fusion formed a close relationship with ‘Husky Loops’, the London based Italian rock band. The relationship was successful and led to Fusion accompanying them on a European tour in 2019, performing at a string of sold-out gigs in Rome, Berlin, Magaluf and throughout the UK. With the onset of the COVID pandemic towards the end of the year, Fusion looked for new opportunities and ways in which he could contribute to music whilst being unable to perform. Continuing to work on his craft, Fusion also teamed up with Surrey Council Arts Foundation to develop and deliver music workshops to youths within the Justice System.
With a new sense of direction, freshly acquired experience and a catalogue of unreleased music, Fusion scheduled the release of ‘Like Dat’ in May 2022.
