Deezy Authentic ft. Kunni- Dreaming

Critically acclaimed for his technical skills and lyrics, hip-hop artist Deezy Authentic has won over fans with his southern-styled rap, along with his dynamic beats that have shaken up the world.

Born Roy Wells, and raised in the peach state of Georgia, Deezy Authentic has always had a love for hip-hop but only started rapping a decade ago. After learning how to rap, it quickly became a hunger pain for Roy as he decided to formulate Deezy Authentic. Years before this, he originally attended Savannah State University where he studied electronics. Afterwards, to help support himself, he found a job as an installer for car audio equipment and electronics where listening to music is part of his daily routine. It quickly became apparent that this is what he was definitely meant to do with his life and started rapping. After mastering the mic and being around music all day, it was a done deal for him. Inspired by Young Jeezy, T.I. and Lil Wayne, his inspirations showcase in his music and the direction he chooses to lead in.

Deezy Authentic was a member of the duo “Black Royal” that formed in 2007. Many different labels contacted them for which they performed for A&R’s from Epic Records, Bad Boy, and Def Jam. “Black Royal” also went viral on YouTube for their smash hit, “Loc It In”. In 2014, he decided to leave the group and focus on his own projects and passions independently. In 2017, he decided to start his own label called HNNS Records for which he has since dropped three singles titled, “HNNS”, “NoMo” and “Blue Sea”. At almost seven thousand monthly listeners on Spotify and other platforms, it’s safe to say his fanbase is mesmerized by the sound he delivers. He also spends most of his time writing, producing, mixing and mastering new music in the studio.

You’ll also catch him saying, “We Aint Gone Neva Starve”, simply for the fact that he always pushes himself to be the best and reminds his fans to do the same. Living life authentically, his aim is to spread positivity and lead by example. Music is in his comfort zone, which helps gives him clarity on the path to his success. His main motivation stems from is daughter, who lives across the country and always wants to make sure she’s provided for. Even with all of his struggles and successes, he still remains humble and grateful for all that’s come his way. He doesn’t forget where he came from and pushes his skills not only to the best of his ability, but to make sure he exceeds it.

Just after launching his label, and releasing his three singles, he returned to the studio to work on an upcoming mixtape titled, “HNNS: The Gospel Chapter 1”. There has also been talks of future collaborations with different artists who share similar visions as Deezy Authentic. He hopes to continue to work with strong influences in the music industry to help deliver his sound and reach his fanbase all over the world. He plans on releasing the mixtape later this year.
