Marking a major milestone for Dispatch Recordings, we are proud to present Ed:it's Word Out EP as our 200th release. Right from the early demo stage it was clear this EP had something special, making it the perfect choice for such a significant number. Ed:it himself embraced the moment, with the '200' becoming the central feature of Arp XP’s striking artwork design. 

While, technically, we’ve already surpassed 200 releases if you include sub-labels, albums, and VIPs, this release still feels like a landmark moment which needed an EP that truly represented what Dispatch has stood for since 2001.

Word Out EP delivers exactly that. Across five heavyweight tracks, Ed:it captures the raw energy and spirit that has defined Dispatch over the past two decades. Each track has been a staple in both Ed:it and Ant TC1’s sets for the past two years, road-tested and refined to perfection.

Waterframes Music is excited to introduce a new addition to its artist roster — Alyness, a rising name in the drum & bass scene known for his detailed and genre-blending sound.

Since his debut on the UK label Four Corners in 2021, Alyness has quickly earned recognition for his high-quality and original productions. With releases on respected imprints such as Citate Forms, Engage, Data Music, and Transparent Audio, the producer has proven himself as a versatile artist capable of navigating both melodic liquid drum and bass and deep, atmospheric dubstep.

"Velvet" marks Alyness's first release on Waterframes Music. Default Position is a London/Berlin-based record label founded by Joseph S Joyce which specialises in emotive forms of electronic music. The label gets its name from a term that is widely used in psychology, referring to a person's natural tendency or reaction to something or someone. A person's default position is often based on deeply embedded core beliefs about themselves or the world around them, often originating from childhood. Many of us will have to challenge our default positions in life, especially if we've developed negative ones. In terms of creativity, however, we believe that the default position serves something of great value. We believe it represents an artist's fundamental frequency, a place of creative authenticity, devoid of external influences or material motive. When an artist's output comes from their default position they express their truth. Our aim is to help them deliver their message.
