A joyous introduction to the Brooklyn artist, this single demonstrated an ability to strike the balance between classic and contemporary sounds seamlessly. Now, the record DAVIE himself describes as, “a dance song, not a gospel song,” gets four brand new remixes. Up first, Peppermint Jam boss Mousse T. plays to the gospel elements of the original, with deep, powerful chords and rhythmic claps, bringing a snapping groove to the cut. Next, London talent KDA goes for a clubbier sound, looping the vocal and raising the BPM. Alan Dixon’s funk-fuelled remix follows, with melodic keys and irresistible horns. Finally, undisputed master of the disco edit Danny Krivit delivers his sublime club-friendly version, extending the original Danny maintains the feel, with subtle adjustments that give it a more refined sound.

New York house legend Quentin Harris makes his Glitterbox Recordings debut with the joyous ‘Stronger’, with vocals from regular collaborator Jason Walker. Originally released in 2016 on Def Mix Music, this brand-new package features the previously unheard A Director’s Cut Remix (provided by none other than Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper), as well as a remix from fellow hero of the New York house scene David Morales. Opening with Quentin’s original, laden with uplifting piano riffs and a soulful vocal that delivers the peak time feels, David’s remix provides a clubbier alternative, string-filled with a grooving bassline. The Vision returns with the third single from their eponymous debut album, along with remixes from two of the scene’s most revered producers. ‘Missing’ treads the familiar tale of love lost with a stark openness, a funk-filled track underpinned by a catchy vocal hook sure to resonate with its listeners. As one half of The Vision, this release is the first where Ben Westbeech provides vocals as well as producing behind the scenes alongside Kon, perfectly matched with regular collaborator Andreya Triana to bring the heartfelt lyrics to life. Swiss DJ Deetron is the first to provide a remix for the package, flawlessly executed with bubbling synths and snapping percussion, as the Character Records boss explores the emotional potential of dancefloor-destined house to compelling effect. Up next, underground hero Maurice Fulton steps up to the plate, an artist described by Resident Advisor as “making some of the most unhinged house out there”, his mix may strike listeners as surprising with its stripped-back feel. Following stellar singles ‘I’m Not Defeated’ and ‘Future Romance’, Bronx-born singer-songwriter Fiorious returns to Glitterbox with a stunning cover of Aly-Us’ ‘Follow Me’. Representing the dawning of a new chapter of dance talent, Fiorious’ indelible vocals have earnt him high-profile fans ranging from Honey Dijon to Cassius. ‘Follow Me’ has a more stripped-back feel to previous Fiorious output, his sultry smooth vocal back dropped with deep, swelling synths and a relaxed groove. House legend Roger Sanchez’s remix opens the package, a fitting artist to take on the duty after remixing the 1992 original. Roger’s mix provides a clubbier feel, with jacking bass and powerful keys sure to captivate any dancefloor.
