Jewel Kid:
Jewel Kid was born in Malta and climbed on the music train way back when he was still illegal to enter clubs. Two decades in, and this journey has fast tracked from Dj to Producer with a one way ticket to success.
He is the Winner of the Carl Cox Worldwide Remix Competition held by Beatport for “Best House Remix” and Awarded “Best Dance Production” at the Malta Music Awards. Conductor of numerous tracks in Beatport’s Top 10 Charts, Jewel Kid has signed music with A-Class record labels such as Toolroom, Cr2, Glasgow Underground, Abode, Nervous, Tronic, Suara and many others.
From different platforms around the world, he has embraced the privilege of holding golden tickets and an international gig schedule playing in infamous clubs such as Space (Ibiza), Egg (London), Cielo (New York), Womb (Tokyo), Space (Miami), Sankeys (Ibiza) and many more. His tireless commitment and versatile sound have created a theatre of music for other masters to play and followers to join. Canadian vocalist and musician Kiesza recorded most of her latest album, ‘Dancing & Crying Vol. 2,’ in her living room studio. In this exclusive commentary, she talks about the collaborations that helped shape the album — from her producer, Jess Cake, to electronic punk artist Peaches, who appears on the track “So Erotic.” Kiesza was “fan-girling” throughout the recording process: “I love Peaches,” she tells SoundCloud. UK garage producer Sammy Virji co-produced “Stays in Bed,” which is built on Kiesza’s “freestyle whispering.” Additionally, Kiesza explains “Ruin My Life” leaves “so much space to dance,” while “Runway” was written with her dancer, Jaylen Brown, noting how “not a lot of DJs actually dance themselves.” Listen now, only on SoundCloud.

Defected Radio Show: Monki Live from Defected Croatia 2025

What a festival in Croatia. Have been here now for the fourth time and it never disappoints. Next year it's the last one, so catch it while you can. I wanted to make a mix out of all the brilliant music that is played there, but it is hard to pick the best ones as there are so many. Could have mixed another 2 days tbh :-) Hope you enjoy these highlights as much as I did.

Recorded freestyle at home, featuring a variety of the music played at Defected Croatia 2025 with focus on the more uptempo tunes. All to remember the amazing time we spent at the festival.
