Piem is one of the most versatile artists in Spanish dance music scene. He has been able to release in labels like Crosstown Rebels, Moon Harbour or DFTD among many others. In this 'Colours of House EP' we can see his wide music taste : late 90s house vibes in 'Colours of House', acid feeling in 'Fellas' and disco flavor in 'Chingu'. “LOKOMOTIF” is a high-energy groover, driven by 90s House synth stabs, funky percussion and banging drums, and it sits very nicely in between Techno and House. 😎🔥

‘WANNA GO BANG’ is my take on Chicago Ghettohouse legend DJ Deeon’s classic vocoder vocal sample (from his 1992 song “2 B Free”, but it’s pitched down 5 semitones now which gives it such a dark vibe). I’ve always wanted to make my own DJ weapon version of it since I heard Bjarki’s trippy version in 2015, and I’m really happy with how it turned out, it’s such a monster! 

Both tracks on my "WANNA GO BANG" EP are really ‘dance floor’ focused, so I’m very pleased that many noteworthy DJs have been banging out these tracks in their sets already pre-release. And I couldn’t be happier than to see them released on one of my all-time favorite labels, Drumcode! :) 🖤🙌

The alliance between our dear head master Hector Couto and Darius Syrossian has perfectly worked before, so we are super excited to bring you the first collaboration of Darius with Roush. There can´t be a better mix! Our seventeenth release is signed by this house master, who has hard-earned the respect of the scene by his contribution to music during the last 20 years. Jacking house and tribal percussions are the choosen weapons by Syrossian and that´s exactly what you´ll find in “Time” and “Back In The Day”. And if this was little,  French producer DJ W!ld is responsible of a serious approach to “Time”, providing depth to the original track and creating this superb emotional anthem.

Josh Butler returns with yet another knockout production on Defected. The deep and groovy ‘Feels Good’ gained immediate attention when the DJ Mag and Beatport award-winning producer premiered it on his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix on earlier this year. The track has an authentic house sound, as Josh blends uplifting synths and rave stabs with the feel-good powerhouse vocals of soul duo HanLei, noted for their work as Grace Jones’ backing singers. On the Dub, Josh brings the composition to heavy hitting grounds, with a deeply rhythmic bassline and breakdowns, which have already been slaying dancefloors in Ibiza and Croatia. Having worked closely with key players such as Kerri Chandler, Steve Lawler and Joris Voorn on previous releases, ‘Feels Good’ solidifies Josh as one of the most prolific and in demand producers currently on the scene.
