Following a string of vocal house heaters on the label, Ferreck Dawn made his 2021 return to Defected with red-hot track ‘Back Tomorrow’, teaming up with renowned dance vocalist Jem Cooke. The unstoppable release caught the attention of DJs and radio tastemakers internationally, with the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Capital FM’s MistaJam as well as specialists on Triple J and Studio Brussel championing the record from the get-go. Now LP Giobbi, Animal Talk co-owner, producer and synth-warrior goddess, also known for her educational platform FEMMEHOUSE, goes in on remix duties, amplifying Ferreck’s signature chunky sound and vocal stabs. Maintaining her title as piano house queen, intoxicatingly smooth piano chords are balanced with raw percussion. This remix takes an uplifting record to a new level, offering powerful dancefloor sentiment for listeners and designed for pure euphoria.

Epitomising the very best of their hometown's unparalleled musical heritage, Detroit's Dames Brown are the vocal trio becoming one of house's must know names. Lending their exquisite range to a number of modern house essentials, including Sophie Lloyd's 'Calling Out', The Vision featuring Andreya Triana 'Heaven' and David Penn's 'Nobody' in recent years, Athena Johnson, Teresa Marbury and LaRae Starr unveiled 'What Would You Do?' in 2021 to swift critical acclaim. Ferreck Dawn's internationally recognised sound returns to Defected with what he describes as an "atmospheric yet very danceable track." 

The Dutch powerhouse has quickly established himself as modern house authority, performing globally while releasing top tier tracks with renowned vocalists such as Jem Cooke and Izzy Bizu. 

'Better' features vocals from Jena Asciutto, a US vocalist who rose to prominence on national television before signing with leading agency Metatone: "When I first heard Jena's topline I was blown away by it. She has such a great voice and I love the delivery and emotion it has." On creating 'Better' with Ferreck, Jena says that the infectious track "touches on a spectrum of different inspirations. Ranging from self-love and acceptance to setting the standard in a relationship. You can have all of me or nothing at all."
