After releasing Louie Vega & The Martinez Brothers ‘Let It Go’ earlier this year, Defected now deliver a package of new mixes to continue the longevity of this irresistible summertime jam. The original record, a homage to NYC’s rich Latin American dance culture, was as slick, soulful and groove-filled as expected from two generations of the city’s finest, unsurprisingly catching the attention of house sensation Honey Dijon, who provides a remix on the package. A flawless example of her Berlin meets NYC style, Honey’s contribution has a clubbier feel, as short bursts of Marc E. Bassy’s vocal flicker over rippling synths and a driving bassline.
