This exciting duo have cemented a name for themselves as one of the most exciting new dance acts to emerge from the UK in recent years. They have already worked with the scene’s elite including Solardo, Goodboys and most recently, Becky Hill on her brand new single ‘Never Be Alone’.

They amassed almost 30m streams last year alone across key platforms and graced the decks at the legendary Tomorrowland festival last Summer. Their Toolroom debut dropped in 2023, an epic collab called ‘Over’ with Westend, and this brand new single raises the bar even higher.

It sounds like a real progression in sound. Maintaining incredible melody throughout with that signature synth sound, but yet adding some disco-influenced bounce along the way, and the result is another dance floor weapon to add to the ever-growing Maur armoury! 2024 will be an incredible year for these talented producers and we are proud to have them as an integral part of the Toolroom Family.

This new single comes hot on the heels of his remix of ‘The Cure & The Cause’, adding significant Afro electronic flair to the 2006 Defected anthem. The Simma Black label boss and chart-topping producer Low Steppa is a firm friend of Defected, headlining many of the label’s events globally including Dubai, Malta, Croatia and Manchester’s The Warehouse Project. His previous release with Spanish selector Crusy, ‘This Is The Sound’, made waves on DFTD in 2023, marking the start of a fruitful relationship between the two celebrated producers and DJs. ‘Bullerengue’ takes inspiration from the traditional sounds of Colombia and Panama, complete with native vocal samples over driving club-ready beats as this international collaboration fully represents the power of Defected’s Together series.

Nasser Baker makes his long-awaited return with an original track, the deep and mature house single ‘Notification’ on Defected. California-born and New Jersey-raised, Nasser Baker was discovered as a young artist by influential producer Dennis Ferrer, who signed Baker to his revered Objektivity label. The move resulted in several critically acclaimed EPs, putting the New Jersey talent on the maps of house music’s finest thanks to his broad and eclectic sound, holding a maturity well beyond its years as a result of analogue techniques combined with modern house sensibilities. Ever since, Nasser Baker’s approach has steered towards quality over quantity, with his releases proving well worth the wait in the eyes of tastemakers and fans alike.
