They have been gaining momentum for their productions and already signed to D-Vine Sounds, Nervous Records & Mark Radford’s Audio Rehab & Plus Recordings and now with their Sleazy Tech debut Peaceful Crowd. After the lads gave the original out to a select few,  there has been so much buzz surrounding the release.  ATFC, Grant Nelson, Low Steppa & The Shapeshifters all asking for a copy personally and their good friend Sam Divine claiming it as her Ibiza & festival anthem for 2016.

With its very well known M1 piano sample that we all know and love, plus the genius use of sampling Steve “Silk” Hurley’s voice from an old interview about house music and that it’s always had a peaceful crowd. K & K really deliver an anthem for today’s dance-floor, 90’s & jacked up tech house for the masses which will be getting smashed for months if not years to come !!! To close this killer package off we have another belter from the lads in Can You. David Penn returns to Defected with 'Nobody' and it sure was worth the wait. The Spanish producer is back after eight years and he's remaining true to his classic house roots. Boasting the same infectious groove as its prequel 'Sunshine People', this time the Urbana label-head injects a hell of a lot of soul on top of a thundering bassline. Its fierce soul vocal hook gives this record anthem quality, paired with upbeat classic piano riffs on top of one blinding bassline and we've got a killer club hit. This is no set-filler, this record is here to get the party started.

David Penn 'Nobody' (Club Mix)

Australian born DJ and producer Kormak has been making waves on Sydney’s club scene, curating adrenaline filled sets that have gained him more than a few high-profile fans, including Aussie man of the moment Fisher. His last track, ‘Keep On’ featured in Simon Dunmore and Sam Divine’s stand-out b2b at Defected Croatia, and his debut release with DFTD maintains his bumping, bass-driven style of production. The release opens with the title track ‘Love On The Line’, a momentum building record that shows Kormak experimenting with the deeper, dubbier side of house music. By comparison, ‘Feel’ echoes classic house tracks with its vocal, intensified drums and undeniable funk.

Defected regular OFFAIAH returns to the imprint with ‘Private Show’, his latest dose of expansive, club-focussed house, after storming hits ‘Soldier’, ‘Work It Out’ and ‘Push Pull’ ignited dancefloors across the globe. Kicking off with his Re-Edit, where a deep wandering bassline, swelling pads and tension building drops provide a groove-led backdrop to the seductive vocal. Up next, NYC’s Moon Rocket steps up to remix, taking a stripped-back approach with industrial synth stabs and ambient breaks, married with a deepened vocal. Finally, OFFAIAH’s original version rounds off the release, where we see the producer flexing his musical muscles by exploring new sounds and tech-leaning influences, producing a cut undoubtedly destined for main room raving. Doing what he does best, ‘Private Show’ really shows how OFFAIAH has been honing his production abilities, as he provides a range of stellar mixes that cater for a range of dancefloor dispositions.

When Radio 1’s Danny Howard brought his Lockdown Linkup series to the world in 2020, he set about teaming up the world’s leading dance producers for a collection of very special collaborations. Among those set up by the series was long-time friend of Defected Dennis Ferrer and South London trio Disciples, making for a powerful but perhaps unexpected transatlantic partnership. With both artists boasting impressive accolades that include platinum-selling records as well as bona fide underground anthems, they enlisted the help of acclaimed songwriter James Yuill to create ‘Whisper’. With its ethereal vocal, atmospheric keys and memorable guitar strings, married together by a club-friendly bassline, it’s no surprise this exquisitely produced debut would catch the attention of Defected’s Simon Dunmore, who now gives the track a full release on the imprint.
