Junior Sanchez:
Legendary New York-born producer and DJ, Junior Sanchez, has helped define the global house and electronic music scene. Over a career spanning three
decades, he’s released on seminal labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Defected, Crosstown Rebels, Planet E and many more.
In 2024, he dropped his highly anticipated album, Songprints Vol. 1, on D4 D4NCE (Defected), collaborating with major talents like Mýa (“So Hype”), Mike
Dean and Lee Wilson (“Weekend Vibes”), Lauren Hashian (“Speed It Up”), and gospel icon Darlene McCoy (“I Need More”).  
Beyond his original music, Junior is celebrated for his remix and production credits for artists like Madonna, Daft Punk, Ariana Grande, Shakira, Good
Charlotte, and Katy Perry among many many others. 
He also co-founded influential collectives — including Da Mongoloids (with Thomas Bangalter, A-Trak, Basement Jaxx, Roger &amp; Armand Van Helden, and more) and The S-Men (with DJ Sneak and Roger Sanchez) — and continues to mentor rising talent through his label Brobot Records.  
Junior’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries while honoring his nderground roots has earned him global respect, and he remains a vital voice in
dance music — constantly evolving, collaborating, and inspiring.

The Berlin based Producer and Liveacting artist Bongbeck grew up with the sound of Stephan Bodzin and Max Cooper in Potsdam. Later he became a member and part of the Ton Töpferei Label in Berlin. In the meantime, he played gigs in clubs like Sisyphos, About Blank, and Ritter Butzke. With fluffy synths and crude beats,
Bongbeck always tends to surprise the crowd. Just as fast the mood of the music changes from gloomy to light, he is switching between live guitar, improvised synths and spontaneously scrambled structures.

Release Info: 
The 138th release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Jobe to the label for his debut EP. The UK artist is fresh off an incredible year highlighted by releases on Sincopat, Selador and Chapter 24 Records. Now getting 2017 off to a great start Jobe presents his much anticipated debut EP for Movement Recordings entitled 'Poseidon'. 
 
Long noted for his character rich sound, Jobe delivers one of his all time best with the lead cut 'Poseidon'. Anchored by tough kicks and waves of wobbly bass the hypnotic sensibilities are evident from the beginning. Detailed percussion brings a great sense of space while a melodious arp further tantalises the senses. It's evolving storyboard is perhaps it's strongest suit as chord changes lift the vibe higher before ethereal vocals and a band of spaced out effects initiate a strong third act finale. 

The EP's second selection 'Eunis' comes in deeper yet equally emotive. A cavernous low end lays down a warm foundation before eerie synths and soulful wails bring further intrigue to the narrative. Trippy and melodic in all the right ways, it's subterranean groove and esoteric themes lead to a short and timely break, before one final rush seals it's mystical charm. 

 The release concludes with 'Paradigm' which finds Jobe exploring the darker realms of progressive techno. Evolving synth textures, bright melodies and a dark underbelly converge for the ultimate sonic collage. The UK artist always brings a flair of unpredictability to his creations and it is this unconventional flow which shines here once again. An amazing journey for both the mind and feet, and a fitting end to an excellent EP from artist set for big things in 2017. Highly Recommended.

Part gospel anthem, part joyful house workout, ‘Testify’ is one of those once-in-a-blue-moon moments, a perfectly formed song with a heart that reaches out to move you. Originally released in November 2016 on Sean’s own imprint Plastique Recordings, ‘Testify’ has grown and hooked fans organically, making the playlist at BBC Radio 2 and taking on a life of its own. Signed over to Defected in January 2017, the label wasted no time at all in delivering this killer remix package. Steve Mac diverts from the soul and gospel vibe, taking it to the underground with industrial drums and a killer 4/4 beat. Tom Stephan aka Superchumbo introduces a Latin flavour into his Dub with syncopated drum work and a beefed up bassline that takes the original’s gospel elements up a few gears. Finally to complete the package is an Original Extended version, with two bonus minutes of the uplifting instrumental bridge.
