LOFT (@loftminduk) is the latest artist to join the Astral Plane Recordings family and will debut on October 14 with the enigmatic Turbulent Dynamics EP. With a penchant for rhizomic drum programming, sparkling synth work and hallucinogenic sound design, Turbulent Dynamics is comprised of two totemic floor burners and three interstitial efforts, ranging from cerebral polyrhythmic techno to grotesque new age manipulations. In terms of sound alone LOFT’s entry to the APR catalogue marks something of a departure, but his unwillingness to genuflect to sonic convention means he fits right in with the ethos that SHALT, Chants and Nunu have previously set out.

Much more than a man a woman is a space from childhood we learned that our bodies and souls are merely vessels for bigger things other entities destined to be filled a woman cannot be an empty space she must not be big she must not be loud but the space that she is the one that belongs to her it must not be empty so they they tell me I should always aspire to be completed to be full full of a child of a man of a an ideal of whatever cheap organic and ancestral preconceptions they can shove in my body my soul should be filled with their worries a flypaper paper made of empathy catching the flies of their childish tantrums and anxious entitlement like the virgin Mary Holy Mother Universal listener Crier I take the sorrows of others and swallow them as I swallow pill bite into the ideal Swallow swallow it all I am a space that should always ask to be filled even when I’m vomiting all the debris they have discharged into me over time. A woman is a polluted polluted river. Trying to dissolve foreign objects with acid, distrustful of everything of everyone because I am terrified of this breaking and entering cult yet i am still rejecting trash in waves on the shores of myself I still want to be at peace with my own emptiness, the sealed empty room that i am to negate the space Leave nothing in me too precious for them to take let their complaints and desire drip around me without ever penetrating me even if I am capable of turning the broken glass they give me into polished diamonds, 
doesn't mean that it hurts any less.
