Although it was hard watching months of careful planning and hard work erased, we recognise the impact of this crisis goes much deeper than a few cancelled parties, so we decided to channel our energy into something more positive.

'Remote Access' is a collection of music sourced from both core members of our CF family, and a handful of our favourite producers operating in the UKs underground scene.

100% of proceeds for this release will go towards The Trussell Trust, supporting a nationwide network of food banks which are currently under an unprecedented level of pressure.

Kicking things off for 001 is Mani Festo's 'All Night EP'. The 4 Tracker features tracks built as far back as 2015, alongside brand new beat science. It's an amalgamation of Mani's influences, with audible nods to Garage, Trip Hop and Dubstep, structured in a way that sounds uniquely his own.

Similar to our events and mix series, it is our goal to use the label as a platform for exciting, up and coming artists from within our community and beyond. Working together with our friend, the very talented Greek-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Aroent therefore has been a real pleasure and felt natural from the get go. Anonymous producer Kilig (@kiligsounds) debuts on Scuffed Recordings with the ‘Dream Logic’ EP, fusing together elements of UK-influenced techno, minimal, ambient and industrial.

The ‘Dream Logic’ EP is the latest in a string of releases from London’s Kilig, who has turned heads of late with DJ support from the likes of Ben UFO, Call Super, Saoirse, and Midland, and radio plays on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, and the Introducing Hot List.

From the intricate sound design and melodic flourishes of the title track, to the percussive depth charge of ‘Ape’, to the imaginative vocal cuts and minimal throb of closer ‘I’m Trying’, the release is a journey through Kilig’s eclectic production style, honed as a resident of London’s Night Tales and Bristol’s HOMEBREW parties.

Pavel's debut album "Busy Being Broken" has been released on October 3rd, 2019. Receiving a warm welcome from the musical scene and press critics, this album had to be continued, in its own way. Pavel is the kind of artist who always loved remixing the song he likes but also being remixed by artists he admires.
What follows was then naturally the next step of his creative procedure : getting his debut album remixed by producers he carefully picked up, going from close friends, local heroes to international dons. After months of discussions and creation, the collaborative effort is ready and soberly named : Pavel - Busy Being Broken (The Remixes).

13 tracks for 13 remixers : Realitycheck, Inwards, FlexFab, Organ Mug, HYPER OPAL, Yndusik, Hermeth, JR, Isolated Lines, Ana Ebsen, E&A Rüeger David Harleydson and Antonello Teora.

Going from downtempo to eletronica, from brainwave electro to breaks, from tech house to experimental, from industrial techno to low-tempo jungle, this remixes album reflects what Pavel thinks about music : emotions, creativity,boldness... and emotions..
