This is one of those stories that starts with a boy finding a book in a dusty attic. 'Weird Legend' drags you across contrasting seascapes, offering different lighting from song to song. Abundant in field recordings from this former sailor officer's favorite beaches of Crimea, this material has sounds of the sea and ocean as a main inspiration. Both gentle and moist in its melodies and as harsh as techno can get in its beats, D. Yaroslav’s (@dyaroslav) debut takes a strong stance and doesn’t fall out of character. Once again, WhyPeopleDance (@whypeopledance) are helping the ones in need. The Dug Up The Bongo founder reached out to the collective with this entrancing material to help Kyiv’s humanitarian fund “Grains of Peace”, started by “20ft radio”.

● Take Your Time – EP is a five-track showcase of bass-heavy versatility from New Zealand’s Unwell, blending UK bass, garage, 2-step, and jungle; it moves from shimmering grooves to peak-time club pressure — built to work in any setting, from the rave to the lounge.
Produced in Wellington, the EP opens with the title track Take Your Time, a shimmering, swing-heavy garage cut, followed by two distinctive remixes: producers Joku deliver a forward-moving flip, while Ukrainian artist Lostlojic adds a smoky, atmospheric edge.
Disco Take switches gears with a playful jungle-meets-disco fusion, before Tamaki Makaurau based AndWahn closes the EP with a driving club remix built for peak-time energy.

@Derailleur announces new vinyl label Decade Box with the first in a series of releases to share the fruits of his dedication to machine made music. Set for release this September, Hydraulic Performer EP will be the first record on Decade Box, a sonic time capsule which will present the music honed by the producer over the last 10 years.

The release sets the tone for the label series, showing off two different sides of Derailleur’s production styles. Title track Hydraulic Performer is a raw and cutting rave-primed electro track. Radioactive Man is called up to remix adding a new angle with his precision drum programming. Device One rounds up the EP with a shuffling techno track warmed up by stepping synth stabs.

Following his timely 2004 debut on Varial, Derailleur has also released on Dust Science, Soma and Harmless. With a strong commitment to hardware based recording and performance, 2019 brings in a new chapter for the France based producer and DJ.
