This super solid five tracker continues J's hot streak on seemingly every great label around the world including his own Razor-N-Tape, with a deep organic sound, thanks to it being mostly produced in his MPC3000 era. 'Greene Street Lament' kicks it off on a boom bap beat tip. Next 'Adaptation' gets the party started with lush strings, piano, and a huge bassline. On the flip is 'Total Pleasure', a midtempo boogie house joint with enough sub to rattle your car door handles off. 'Vibetown' continues on the MPC tip with killer breaks and chops for all the heads. Lastly, the 'Adaptation (Dub)' closes out with the driving dance floor sound we all know and love JKriv for. Housed in a gorgeous picture sleeve and cut loud to vinyl, this EP is an absolute must have.

System Error launches its brand-new sub-label VARIANT with a statement - not a whisper - and Koloah’s “Pacific Orbital EP” delivers exactly the kind of intent-defining sound you'd hope for on a debut catalogue number. Leading the charge is “Cosmin”, a track that instantly maps out the label’s direction: emotional futurism, razor-edged functionality, and electro charged with actual feeling rather than empty posture.

“Cosmin” opens with wide, misty pads that feel almost suspended in cold air, before subtly broken beats begin to form beneath. Then the acid arrives - not as a gimmick, but as a glowing thread that pierces the track’s melancholy, tugging it forward with a kind of soft inevitability. Everything here moves in fluid arcs: the pads sigh, the 303 flickers like underwater bioluminescence, and the groove shuffles rather than stomps. It’s melancholic, yes, but never defeated. With his first appearance on Scattered Patterns, Carlos Leshe opens the dance floor with the track “Boat.” A combination of classic sounds, 808 drums, and 303 basslines, along with atmospheric synthesizers and organic sounds, delicately leads us into a magical night full of lights and dancing.

Our second track, "The rumors are true," is ever-evolving yet groove-locked, powerful yet peaceful. A dichotomic experience that only mate in nine can deliver.

Closing Side A of our compilation, we have "2D Radio": stomping drums, squelching resonant synths, roaring FX sounds, and mysterious vocals coming together to challenge your psyche—courtesy of Mind Research's signature sound.

"The sea advances insensibly in silence, nothing seems to happen, nothing moves, the water is so far away that you can barely hear it... finally breaking violently into a wave, which gradually returns to calm". The perfect analogy for the sound that Seleresst shares with us in "Serenata para la diosa del mar".

Arthus debuts in Scattered Patterns with a driving techno cut that combines modern production with old-school synth sounds, reminiscent of the Motor City.
