Belgian label brokeboi records returns with a fresh new release from emerging artist samee, a project rooted in club culture but unafraid to wander across borders.
His 4-track EP, landing April 25, dives headfirst into a hybrid soundworld of breaks, bass, and globally inspired rhythm.  

Having quietly evolved from previous work, samee steps into their own lane here. Driven by movement, the EP is playful, physical, and deeply textured.
Tracks like "piki piki" and "bamako" draw inspiration from African musical traditions, blending deep hitting vocals with rolling low-end pressure and bright, off-grid percussion. It’s club music with a wide lens.

Across the four cuts, samee balances the raw energy of the dancefloor with a detail-oriented production style that rewards repeat listens.
The result is a project that feels just as at home in peak-time sets as it does on home speakers, an intentional duality.

After heartbreak and a stolen hard drive and laptop, a new chapter opens. Amsterdam-based Tsepo returns to Intercept with a powerful two-tracker born from both emotional and material loss. Magic Bells was rediscovered after the theft of his laptop. It was a sketch made alone in a hotel room just days after a heavy breakup, bringing a more personal and emotional twist to Tsepo’s repertoire. On the flip, Phantom Fibre stands as Tsepo’s most polished club track to date, carefully crafted over 18 months and luckily mastered right before the laptop and hard drive theft. Both tracks complement each other perfectly in their percussive and detail driven nature as well as their playful dance with the listeners sense of expectation.

‘Hassid Station’ leads and throws down squelchy acid licks atop, crisp drums and trippy spoken word vocals before ‘Platja d’Aro 2010’ shifts gears into choppy trance like synth lines intricately processed alongside resonant flutters, bumpy drums and heavy doses of sub bass.

‘Sirena Del Ritmo’ follows with an amalgamation of broken organic percussive hits, choppy bass notes, elevating arps and twitchy stab sequences. ‘Ganash Creamy’ then concludes the EP with murky dubstep tinged bass grooves, snappy snares, crisp shuffled hats and warped synths building towards a cinematic soulful bridge in the latter half before returning to it raw bass heavy state.

Midnight Shift x Voitax Compilation - Mothership

Premiere: Umwelt + Paàl - Event Horizon [MNSVOI01]

New Interplanetary Melodies, the label run by Simona Faraone, and the Roman collective Kuro Jam have joined forces to create Kimera Mendax EP. This ultra limited edition vinyl (150 hand-numbered copies) marks the first of a series of disco-graphic collaborations between the two realities (NIM / Kuro Jam Recordings). The record accompanies the release of the second volume of the homonymous cyberpunk comics saga and represents its original soundtrack.
Kimera Mendax is the title of the debut graphic novel (2017) of the artistic team Kuro Jam composed by the artists Enrico Carnevale, Mattia De Iulis, Giulia D’Ottavi, Stefano Garau and the screenwriter Gianluca Pernafelli.
The comic tells the story of a group of rebels who, from the basement of an esoteric Rome of the future (2048), struggles to neutralize the KX bio-operating system, a sort of total and totalizing social network, to which humanity connects through robotic appendages. Vinyl records are the instrument of struggle for the "disconnected": the guys try to use music to awaken the natural human vibrations, atrophied by the massive use of technology.
Between the pages of the two volumes are hidden tributes and quotes to Gurdjieff, Aphex Twin, Giordano Bruno, but also to the underground rave culture of the early 90s, with a particular reference to the London scene.
The EP, composed of 4 tracks with Techno / Electro / Ambient sounds, with the participation of 4 different producers who have perfectly adapted their sounds to the sci-fi suggestions inspired by the novel: the opening of this sound adventure is entrusted to Mayo Soulmon and his Kimera Stun (A1), an elegant and cosmic glitchy house; follows the deep and exotic electro of KTO Xcite (A2) produced by Peter Blackfish. The first part of side B is entrusted to E.L.F. Exterme Low Frequency (B1), a track with an incredible progression, a real poison for the dance floor; the ending is pure sci-fi ambient of the legend of the Roman Techno scene Andrea Benedetti : Secret Algorithm (B2) bears his signature.
Each vinyl will be accompanied by 4 exclusive inlays illustrated by the 4 Kuro Jam artists. The DJ Xtal, the visionary witch Falena, the robot that advertises the KX bio-operating system and Talamo, the old junk dealer, keeper of strange objects from the past, come out from the comics boards to wear a new graphic look here.
The record is a colorful artistic collector's item made precious by the cover created by the talented designer Elena Casagrande.
