Lorca's last EP on Ben Westbeech's Naked Naked imprint was a split EP consisting of the Mixmag premiered 'Forgive Me Love' and 'Naoko' and both cuts received support from Bonobo, Maya Jane Coles and Pete Tong.

It seems only right then that we premiere the lead track from Sam Cassman's latest EP on Naked Naked and 'Calcutec' is more of the excellent, low-end rumbling same. The track features the tribal-sound that Lorca is floating around and big, bassy synths that tantalise from the off.

On March 14th 2016 one of the UK’s most talented rising DJ/producers Copy Paste Soul returns to Exploited with his brand new EP entitled “Flare”.
 
This outstanding three-track offering follows the Londoner’s acclaimed “Home” release on Exploited last year, and further releases on imprints such as Suara, FCOM, Gruuv, Intec, Alive Records, MadTech plus his very own 2 Swords Records which have helped his music garner support from the electronic music elite including; Laurent Garnier, Moxie, Carl Cox, Annie Mac, Justin Martin, MistaJam, Skream, T. Williams, Modeselektor, Disclosure and Tensnake.
 
As ever, the soul drenched warmth usually found in his productions sit across all three tracks here, as he continues to advance his signature sound that comprises Detroit Techno, US garage and D&B into a left of centre broken sound. Building on his recent “In Focus” on Intec, Copy Paste Soul delves deeper into his techno past with an EP offering up an EP with rave inspired low-end bass goodness.

“No Rave”, a rebellion-track led by drunken synthesizers by Mootron, oats between bending arps, sharp leads and echoverb nukes land on a big fat drum kick and bright laser shots hi-hats - no rave! “Detroit”, by the young producer BRZLN Air, contemplates an ode to the whole history on eletronic music that made the american city be known for what it is: drums, synths and love, a pure obssession. Cacos brings to life his exquisite dream-lover “Sarah”, a dark & mystic techno combined whith elements of obscure chant rhythms - it’s Sarah. San Y Mayo closes the 4-song compilation marching from the sea into the jungle - you might know what to expect but it doesn’t mean it’s there.

Pour https://soundcloud.com/louisdauvergne l’art de manier la musique n’est pas récent. Après un double cursus jazz et classique qu’il intègre au conservatoire de Mâcon dès l’âge de 8 ans, Louis  débute la House à ses 18 ans. 

De ses productions se dégage ainsi une incroyable cohésion, nourrie de structures toujours plus complexes et maîtrisées. Ce perfectionniste signe notamment sur le premier « Various Artists » de Copie Blanche, avec son morceau « Starfish ». 

Les 4 morceaux et l’interlude de cet EP "Starfish Island" sont le reflet de la personnalité de Louis Dauvergne : originale, un brin bordélique mais toujours dans l’idée de découvrir le jazz-fusion de demain. Les jeux sur les percus et l’esprit funky qui se dégagent de l’ensemble confère à cet EP le charme d’une House portée sur les origines de la black music.

En attendant la sortie prévue fin Mars 2018, Louis a quand même pensé à nous. Un paquet caché se trouve à proximité du jardin Damia Island à Paris dans le coffre d’une “Comet”. Promis ce n’est pas de la bière…
