C.C.S.M. is made up of Bong Gozling (Natural Sciences/ Major Problems) and DJ Carey (Jheri Tracks). The two friends got together over the summer for some late night tracking and the five techno-infused tracks are what came of those sessions.

On the flip of the tape we have music from Static. Probably best known for being one of the people behind Cork's legendary Sunday Times party, John Hennessy has been making a name for himself as a producer having recently released on Jheri Tracks and Apartment Records.

PREMIERE: Static - Rise and Fall [Moot Tapes]

softcoresoft joins the Lobster family with her debut release on Lobster Theremin Black, with five propulsive, space jams. Dropping 18th October, Otherworlds EP is cosmic Techno from the Montreal-based artist that will have you hooked!

A1, Meteor Shower signals the shape of things to come, kicking off the EP with mesmeric, acid lines. Mycophilia (A2) is a deeper, driving cut, layered with rave wiggles and ethereal elements. A3 offers broken-beats, bleeps and bloops - ‘Overstatement (Space Edit)’ is a dizzying brain-tickler. On the flip, B1’s ‘Social Compost’, is a tripped out, warehouse wobbler. Rounding out the EP with a final acid cut, ‘Thalassa’ (B2), nods to early Detroit machine music with extraterrestrial influence. A tip for digi buyers, you’ll find ‘Sentiment Analysis’ (B3), stripped back yet pacey, frantic machine music.

Joining the label to help raise awareness are Romplex, Larionov & Sheepray, PRZ, DSG and Dark Prophet.

The release will be available via Bandcamp with no price tag set for the release and every penny goes towards the worthy mental-health project, Art Angel Dundee who continue to change the lives of people in the Dundee area.  The charity is run by people with mental health issues by those who have been through similar experiences and offers a safe place for people to discover and rediscover themselves through many different art-forms,

PREMIERE: Customer Service - Dance First, Think Later [Control Freak]

It’s Belgium vs. Malta for the second split EP on Gated, with Datawave’s tough take on electro kicking off the A side and Sound Synthesis’s cosmic machine music on the B.

Both producers are currently making waves with numerous releases on labels like Fundamental and Nebulae, with their complementary yet distinct styles of electro brought together for the first time.

Perhaps the most obviously peaktime track, Datawave’s Pulsar sounds immense, with a wriggling bassline and cracking drums that’ll cut through on a system.

Breach Out takes things darker and deeper, with gnarly and hypnotic synths leading you on some tripped out journey into a dystopic future.

Sound Synthesis, meanwhile, lightens the mood with Lost in Orbit, but retains that sense of moving into the future. Except this time it’s somewhere beyond the stars.

That said, EP-closer MH System is the kind of classic 4am stomper every DJ needs, with a low-slung bassline and spaced-out samples guaranteed to keep the floor moving.
