Eitan Reiter brings a new dimension to this epic cover version of a 90s classic while DJ T. returns to Get Physical Music with a signature remix. 

Eitan Reiter produces and releases genre-crossing electronic and electro-acoustic music. He has done so for 20 years both solo and as part of projects like LOUD but also, famously, in collaboration with Sebastian Mullaert on labels like Mule Musiq. He is an experienced sound designer and mixing engineer who goes down a nostalgic route here and as a result, has cooked up a real party anthem. 

This new version of the 90s classic is defined by rave-ready stabs with talk box vocals that bring retro-future appeal. Acid lines weave in and out of the metallic drums as the famous chords and female cries arrive to blow up the club. 

DJ T. is on a brilliant run of form that has seen the enduring underground talent start a new label, new alias, and continue to serve up fresh tracks on the label he co-founded over 20 years ago. His remix totally overhauls the original. It is steely and stripped back to a muscular groove and peppered with dark hits and edgy chords. It's tribal and hypnotic and perfect for heads-down dancing.

Earlier this year, Mirror Ball Recordings proudly presented Chantay Savage’s soulful single, ‘Still’, a stunning collaboration with Julius Jordan (Terry Hunter and James Poyser).

Now, we unveil a brilliant new set of remixes from one of house music’s rising stars, Masaki Morii.

Chantay Savage is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer known for her smooth vocals and timeless soul. Rising to fame in the 1990s, she made waves with her 1996 hit "I Will Survive", a stripped-down, heartfelt reinterpretation of Gloria Gaynor’s disco classic that topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. Her debut album, Here We Go… (1993), introduced her as a fresh voice in R&B, blending new jack swing with jazz-infused grooves. She continued her success with albums like I Will Survive (1996) and This Time (1999), collaborating with industry heavyweights such as Common, Mary J. Blige, and TLC.

Masaki Morii is a celebrated Japanese house music producer, revered for his deep, soulful grooves and impeccable production style. With a sound rooted in classic house, gospel, and jazz influences, his tracks have gained international recognition, landing on top underground labels and DJ playlists worldwide. Consistently delivering uplifting and rhythmically rich productions, Morii continues to shape the sound of the global soulful house scene.

Definitive Recordings continues its run of essential reissues and reworks with a new John Acquaviva Edits EP, set for release on May 9th, 2025. Showcasing two freshly edited versions of definitive house classics, this EP brings a modern touch to two deep cuts from the label’s influential catalog.

Acquaviva revisits Omega Man’s ‘Freejack’, carefully updating its arrangement to sharpen its rolling house groove while maintaining the hypnotic drive of the original. Meanwhile, Las Americas’ ‘Look, Listen, Love’ (Robotman Mix) receives a refined structural update, bringing new energy to its funky basslines and signature vocal loops without losing its classic feel.

Both edits are part of Acquaviva’s upcoming compilation The Definitive Selection Vol. 1, but this standalone EP gives them their own moment ahead of the full release on May 23rd. These reworks not only celebrate Definitive’s legacy but also reaffirm its lasting influence on house music.

The John Acquaviva Edits EP lands on May 9th, following the ‘Fee Fi Fo Hum’ single on April 25th, leading up to the full Definitive Selection Vol. 1 release on May 23rd.

Big up to northern powerhouse Burnski for steering his Constant Sound label to the not-so-insignificant feat of release number 50. More importantly, the sounds remain as vital as ever and always evolve into subtle new sound worlds. The mantle for this one is taken by Locklead who brings some fine drum patterns to 'Backup' and pairs them with sliding hi-hats and bubbly synth motifs. It's garage-infused but utterly fresh. 'Wizzord' is a darker tech house with searching lead synths and plenty of pent-up energy, and 'Motherland' brings nice jazzy chord work and atmospheric samples. 'Pink Skies' is a bright closer with contrasting synths - some farting, some smooth - and more high-speed, catchy drums that span house and tech.
