This release eludes the darker side of my sound, featuring a mixture of tempos, and exploring some techno, halftime, garage, and 140 influences. The project has been a long time in the making, and I’m finally happy to showcase each track + some exciting concepts outside of the music itself.

Ghost Syndicate presents ATAJAR: a brand new heavier than ever Dubstep sample library full of experimental sounds.

Inspired by the latest trends in Deep Dubstep, ATAJAR combines distorted basses with psychedelic synths and rolling trappy drum grooves to form a distinctive minimal vibe.

In detail, expect to find 1.02 GB of content, with all audio recorded at 24Bit 44.1KHZ. There are 63 bass loops, 40 synth loops, 28 music loops, 22 full drum loops, 22 hat loops, 22 top loops, and 9 fx loops. Also included are 97 drum hits, 33 bass one shots, 31 synth one shots, 29 fx one shots. As a bonus we have also included 10 drum fx loops, 10 drum kits, 10 Ableton Live 11 drum kits and an Ableton Live 11 project file.

ATAJAR forms a perfect production bundle together with our Grimoire and Nocturna sample packs.

All elements have been carefully processed and categorised to match the highest quality requirements, and are fit out of the box for both arranging and live sequencing.

February 2014 saw a relatively nascent FKOF Records celebrate its 5th month with 'FKOFd005' - an EP that's gone on to become one of our most popular (it's actually our most streamed release with ~500k plays). We've waited almost 8 years to work with either artist in the duo who built that release, but the wait's finally over.

''FKOFd053' is the return of Si Nanobyte to the FKOF family, under a new alias and with a new co-producer. Si and Ry are @Konessi-music, and this is their second outing with material under that name. The debut dropped with our friends at @Kokeshi last year, and if you've not checked the sumptuous 'Mr Shadow EP', please stop what you're doing and go do that first.

'This release also sees us do things a little differently. It's been a labour of love for all involved, and so we all wanted to suitably mark the occasion. This is the first five track EP we've done with FKOFd, it's not all at 140bpm and we've got a video for the EP's first track, 'SOPHIA'. You'll be able to read about the video and the incredible team behind it on the FKOF website soon. Oh, and this isn't the last material you'll hear from Konessi on FKOF Records. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. 

''SOPHIA' sets the tone of what to expect from the five tracks. Autumn sunlight through the forest canopy, 3am peak vibes with friends on the dance floor and that warm embrace of a good sub. 'SHIVA' steps things up a notch and is all stuttering samples, keys and vocals. Evocative stuff. 'KAMBO' is a bit more lowkey, but equally as emotional. It's as close as we get to a roller on the release with its percussive frameworks and meditative framing. Track four, 'SUTRA', is a good example of what to expect from a Konessi live show (yep, that's coming too) - crescendoing experiences that are as equally powerful on a sound system as they are enjoyed solo on an empty road. We close with 'UNION', smoky 'Untrue'-esque spaces that still gives us goosebumps 6mo after first listen. 

'As you can probably tell, this release holds a unique place in the FKOF Records catalogue for us. It feels like the start of something with these two musicians, something the FKOF Records team are all pretty stoked on. We hope you see that something special too!'

Some time back we reached out to the inter-verse and chased for fresh talent to long time join EA.  We landed ourselves in an inbox of hell.  Not doing that again in a hurry.  Among the many many submissions was a chap called Jaswan whom I knew NOTHING about.

The music was crisp and had me thinking about the layers and textures.
This guy knew what was up.

After a successful first release Jaswan has been slowly crafting away to make the second instalment (this) and he has not let us down.
