@Greazus return to the Leipzig-based label with a 4 track EP, influenced by UK hardcore, jungle, and electro and with a clear focus on taking raver's hearts by storm.
Or to put it in their own words: "This record is our love-letter to good ole' warehouse rave days. The era that we both think back fondly to, that inspired us, and where we cut our teeth musically."

"WTF" is an absolute belter of a tune, clocking in at 160 bpm, and provides relentless, fierce energy as soon as you hit the play button.
The tangy acid synth and nostalgic sample use in combination with sharp breaks sum up to an incredible production, that will leave no limb unshaken!

Phantasia EP is the culmination of nearly 2 combined decades of experience going out raving, producing music, DJing, running record labels and promoting underground shows in Vancouver by two of the city’s most renowned and prolific bass music ambassadors – HxdB & Patrik Cure aka GREAZUS. The four tracks are pure rave material with plenty of hardcore DNA and many moments of euphoria.

Greazus contributed to the acclaimed Hybrid Hooks compilation of Defrostatica Records in summer 2021 with Like This (feat. Klose) followed by the single Raverz later that year. Their trademark peak time sound features influences of UK hardcore, jungle and electro.

Calgary’s HomeSick is a Red Bull Music Academy alum. He toured around the world as an advocate for Canada’s cutting-edge music and arts movement, appearing at Sonar Music Festival in Barcelona as well as Canadian festivals Shambhala and Bass Coast. In 2020 he turned to using machine learning and AI in his work which were championed by Boiler Room. This led to support from the Canada Council for the Arts and CBC in developing Isolation Tape, an AI-powered exploration of liminal spaces. With the Bolt EP he follows up his then DJ Mag praised Burnout 2099 EP on Defrostatica and presents 3 new heavyweight bass tracks in the tempo range of hip hop and drum & bass.

Since 2011, Simon Hafner aka Sun People from Graz has been merging footwork, juke, jungle and UK hardcore influences to create his own distinctive sound. With releases on labels like Exit, Alphacut, Rua Sound and Through These Eyes, he has made a name for himself in the international 160 bpm scene over the years. In addition to remix jobs and his own productions, Simon also pursues his musically eclectic vision on a highly rated four-weekly radio show on London's Sub.FM.

On his EP The Walls, released in 2020 on Defrostatica, he devoted himself to early Chicago house music as well as European proto-hardcore of the 80s and the turbo sound championed by the likes of Fracture, Itoa and BSN Posse.

In 2022, Sun People presents a refined version of high-speed breakbeat minimalism, drawing further from bleep, dub and even industrial techno, but still with optimistic depth. From the cold bleep-influenced opener Into The New to the jungle-tekno track Overtoom and the tribalism of State of Flux, Sun People builds its own hypnotic approach to captivate dancers. Amaterasu marks the soulful coda and gives us the opportunity to take a breath.

Made2Faze is a collaboration between Priyesh Patel aka X-161 from Manchester and Anand Patel aka Rawtrachs from Birmingham. Rawtrachs is also known for running the label Futurepast Zine which was recently featured in July's deadliest cuts by the staff of DJ Mag.

Made2Faze thrives on domestic influences from the time after house and before hardcore, when primitive and atonal sounds were distilled into something new that sounded good at raves and in clubs. 'Track With No Name' by Forgemasters has since made a particular impression on the two producers. This raw yet minimalist energy in mind set the standard for their own uptempo DJ tools that could be used as a quick fix to transition between different genres of music.

As a result 'Return' and 'Skyforce' form the musical parameters between which Made2Faze tracks oscillate and reflect geographical roots of the Bleep Techno North and the Broken Beat South at the same time. This informed transformation of UK rave heritage into current forms of 160 bpm jungle tekno tracks is not just the mission by Made2Faze but also by label colleague Sun People with his recent EP ‘Into The New’ on Defrostatica.

On 'Madder', the Danish duo Hone Sound skillfully weaves atmospheric pads into a perfectly rolling jungle breakbeat.

Juke Joint co-founder Team GB from Manchester flexes his production skills around the serious call to 'Jiggle Like Jello' on a jacked bass line.
