This mix was originally posted last year on Clash Magazine as part of their podcast series.  A mix for celebrating fun in da sun.  

Here's my description on Clash from fall 2012 :
This mix is a soundtrack to your Indian summer, if you’re having one right now, or a mix for those people that are in need of a lil’ sunshine. It’s a very summery/sunny mix to bring you out of your fall funk. Lots of juke/footwork and a lil’ jungle thrown in for good measure. There’s some jokes in there too. I went for the more soulful style of footwork instead of the colder minimal tunes meant more for the dancefloor. I played this exact set at the XLR8R boat party at Dimensions festival in Croatia this summer.

Well so go the lyrics for the title track of this latest outing from the multitalented Nico Luminous that will have most folks appreciating ‘trap-esque’ music in a whole new way, especially when it’s delivered as a futuristic super-funk version of soul music with a fair amount of ‘Glitch’ and ‘Dub’ influences thrown in for good measure.

Nico Luminous has a signature style of "Glitch-a-delic Soul Whomp" that fuses melodic progressions, futuristic sound design and organic elements into sexy bass rollers and some epic drops. His DJ sets are geared toward Dubstep and Glitch Hop with a psychedelic twist. As a Beatboxer/MC, Nico uses his custom effects pedal belt to live loop his beatboxing and vocals skills into crunked out hip-hop rhythms that add a unique ‘organic’ feel to his show.  Currently on a US national tour with Lafa Taylor, catch Nico Luminous at a venue or festival near you when you can, you will not be disappointed.

The new edition of Late Night Tales journeys to Scandinavia to invite Norwegian duo Röyksopp to delve through their record collection. Their Late Night Tales mix is eclectic, diverse and wonderful. Sliding from light folk to widescreen ambience to experimental rock to prog-pop (seasoned with the occasional guilty pleasure); it’s all in the spirit of the night.

Following the exclusive introduction track 'Daddy's Groove', Rare Bird's beautiful 1975 B-side'Passing Through' then leads into Australian supergroup Little River Band. The first of several delicate folk moments, it's joined by the ever soulful John Martyn. There's a strong representation of alternative European sounds. Röyksopp mine deep and wide to unearth the rare and unusual German psych-pop of Richard Schneider Jnr (featuring none other than Can's Jaki Leibezeit on drums), France's unique F.R. David and the new age melodies of Switzerland's Andreas Vollenweider - it's pop Jim, but not as we know it. There are also the more familiar names of XTC and Thomas Dolby, as well as Röyksopp's exclusive cover of Depeche Mode's 'Ice Machine' and brand new track opening Daddys Groove. The music draws to a close with goth-dream-pop 4AD founders The Mortal Coil's Emmylou Harris cover 'Till I Can Gain Control Again'; blending into a cinematic moment from German electronic avant-garde band Popol Vuh, contributing to the soundtrack of Werner Herzog's 1972 movie Aguirre, the Wrath of God. The second part of the Benedict Cumberbatch narrated story 'Flat of Angles' closes time on this coolly individual edition of Late Night Tales.

After 9 months Twardowski returns with a sophomore EP on Uknowme Records. This time he messed with the catalog numbers a bit: the EP - titled "Terms Of Endearment" - skipped a few numbers and will be released as UKM030 to commemorate the author's birthday.

Just like the previous installment, the new EP also covers a specific facet of life. This time it's all about the dynamics of relationships and giving voice to the eponymous "Terms Of Endearment".
One can expect Twardowski's collection of synths to feature prominently all over the album, combined with some clever sampling for a rich and warm sound. The EP is comprised of seven tracks, ranging from 90 to 110bpm (no one, especially the author expected to deliver a track as fast as 110bpm...), all instrumental save for chopped up vocal samples.

The cover was once again designed by the talented minimalist Edgar Bąk (edgarbak.info), this time by 'sampling' old fashion magazines to evoke the most basic imagery associated with being together: holding hands.

"Terms Of Endearment" (UKM030) is set for a 12" and digital release late JUNE 2013.
