The Saturday Nite House Party was created due to a massive call from the House community 
after The Massive House Mix became defunct. Along with her mentor and longtime friend Tomie B aka DJ Real 
and Jay Smith (J-Mixx the Urban SoundSurgeon), the Friday Nite House Party was born. A one hour show that initially ran 
July 2005-October 2006 11 pm-12 am wasn’t enough for fans so they wanted more. With their request, the 
Friday Nite House Party moved from one hour on Friday to a three hour prime time slot on 
Saturday 9 pm-12 am. 
Listenership grew very quickly requiring new DJ support. As a result, another team member 
from the Massive House Mix days answered the call. Pete Dukes (Disco Pete Tidewater’s 
Finest) joined the show without hesitation and the team has continued to build from there. In 
2010, DJ Alvin Shavers joined the show bringing his energy as a radio personality and his style 
of mixing soulful, deep, and R&B sets.
The Show has soared to new heights in the local and global community far beyond the initial 
vision. A conversation series has been added featuring artists, DJs, producers and industry 
insiders. This has allowed 90.1FM/WNAA to connect its listeners with movers and shakers in 
the House Music community. Supporters and guests of the show include DJ Ron Pullman, The 
Groove Junkies, Darryl D’Bonneau, Kenny Bobien, Miguel Migs, Lisa Shaw, Byron Stingily, 
Marshall Jefferson, Jesse Saunders, Roy Davis, Jr, Sybil as well as a host of other artists, labels 
and House Music industry insiders. As the show Creator and Program Director, at the end of the 
day, it’s all about the music and I am so blessed to have found it.
