Blending musical versatility, instrumental prowess, beautiful vocal harmonies and a premier rhythm section, the Easy Star All-Stars have established themselves as one of the top international reggae acts on the scene today. Thanks to their best-selling tribute album releases, Dub Side of the Moon (2003), Radiodread (2006), Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009), Easy Star’s Thrillah (2012), the remix album Dubber Side of the Moon (2010), as well as original releases Until That Day EP (2008) and First Light (2011), the Easy Star All-Stars have built a growing, dedicated fan base throughout the world, bringing together fans of reggae, classic rock, dub and indie rock into one big family. The band has toured in over 30 countries on 6 continents. They’ve played many major festivals around the world, including an unprecedented three-day, three-stage stand at Glastonbury in 2009, which earned them a UK Festy Award Nomination that year.

Es un proyecto que inicio uno de los pioneros del ska mexicano Rafael Montoya Patiño
Iniciándose en una banda llamada “almas difusas”, donde nació una inquietud para aportar algo diferente a lo que en ese tiempo se escuchaba en México (un grouge, dark, punk, rock mexicano, etc).
Rafael al tener otras inquietudes, sale de ésta banda para integrarse a lo que fue la“La Matatena” dándole un toque particular con sonidos de lo que hasta el momento son un gran éxito, tal como “Su Majestad” “Antes” “Ciervo Herido” “Grita Fuerte”, “Gusanos”, "Debe Ser” “Ste Ska”, entre otras.
Por diferencias se rompe lo que fue “La Matatena” quedando divididos. Después, tras haber dejado una huella particular en escenarios de la república mexicana parten a Europa con el bajista, saxofonista, trompetista y guitarrista de la original “Matatena” en donde Montoya enriquece su aservo musical del viejo continente siendo “La Matatena Royal Club” y regresa con más fuerza para dar un brinco a su movimiento musical, grabando un disco llamado “De la Agonia al Extasis”, sin embargo surge la separación de la banda por inquietudes personales, iniciando Montoya, lo que se llama”La Poderosa e Indestructible (Matatena) Royal Club de México”,en donde el señor Montoya convoca músicos de todo el mundo para crear un colectivo para que le de fuerza y enriquecer un movimiento en él que ha creído y dedicado su vida.
Por lo que no que da más que decir que Viva la Fiesta y el Eterno Carnaval!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
