After a nine year stint away from releasing, Bedouin Soundclash are back with their infectious mix of a multi-genred, multi faceted sounds. We clock New Orleans Jazz, to post punk soca and pop, all within the same flowing releases. 

Salt Water is an homage to that melting point of a soundscape, and the delicate touch and finesse of  Ishmael Ensemble accentuates the mellow textures of melody and adds grittiness to the lower frequencies.

The single is out 9th August, and expect the full album later on the year.

Newcastle selector Diz steps into this week's community mixtape with a UKG flavoured selection. Ahead of his room 2 appearance at Ape-X with Ben UFO later this October we're happy he supplied us with this canapé to keep us sweet until then. 

Diz said on the mix:
"Ive tried to represent all the things I love about garage in this mix and how diverse the genre can be. Winding through garage house, 2step, 4x4 and Funky to some more darker percussive elements, I had to include the man that started it all Todd Edwards and customary to garage there had to be a few white labels in there for good measure. I think its important as a DJ to delve deeply into every genre you play in order to understand the history and the culture of the music.
The UK has always been a big influence on my sound and plays a huge role in how I approach playing music.  
Don some Versace shades, slip in to some Moschino, pop the champers and Enjoy!"

We were lucky enough to be given a chance to do our own take on this killer jam by Jungle fire. The cut is a great cover of Comencemos by Phirpo y sus Caribes, which is in itself a re-imagining of Fela's Let's Start. We took it partway back to Fela with and made sure to keep the dancefloor in mind.
