During 2013's summer solstice full moon, thousands of dancers, artists, and family gathered to celebrate 20 years of magic with Southern California's beautiful Moontribe Collective. 

We are halfway to 2014's Solstice already -- so here's a something to spark those memories and reinvigorate this year's full moon hunger.

This set was played from 6:30pm - 8:30pm during the moonrise of the solstice welcoming the 100% full moon to the night, playing after LOUD (https://soundcloud.com/loudmusic), and before dela Moontribe (http://soundcloud.com/delamoontribe).

ViBase is an Aussie bass Wizard alchemizing his love for bass music & psychedelic states with his quest for deeper meanings in life. 
Bringing a colourful blend of psychedelic awe & spine rumbling bass-lines to create fun, filthy, hypnotic and connected dancefloor experiences. 
ViBase aka Maxi has been running events around NSW since 2019 and recently launched an event called Levitate, focusing on deep and free from styles of bass music to help cultivate a scene, culture and platform for local artist to express their art. 
DJing for 11 years and producing for 9 years now ViBase debuted his first single in 2023 and first EP on 8ball audio in 2024 with multiple releases since. 
ViBase broke into the larger scene in Aus in 2023 debuting his “high vibe” set and “chill set” at Dragon Dreaming, and proving himself as a favourable act at Art Valley, Bass Camp and Rabbits Eat Lettuce. Maxi intwines his experience of holding space from other aspects of his life into his DJ sets by creating an intentionally curated journey designed to move through a plethora of emotions, textures and energies expressed through bass heavy genres by the likes of Deep Dubstep, Glitch, Down Tempo, Left Field Bass, Free Form Dubstep, Halftime & Drum n Bass to name a few.

NYX 2025 - BADSHORE

The August episode of the OFA Mixtape arrives with an amazing cross-genre sonic journey brought to you by Singaporean TASHASAN.

Natasha Hassan, aka TASHASAN, started as an illustrator before switching to DJing, inspired by her local producer and DJ friends. Her music mixes garage, breaks, and percussive 140 beats, with deep bass grooves—or, as she calls it, “conscious booty bass tunes.”  

TASHASAN blends her South and Central Asian roots into her tracks, creating a culturally rich sound. Recently, she partnered with London’s Keep Hush, reinforcing her role in shaping Singapore’s music scene.

A fixture in Singapore’s scene, she’s played at venues and events like Tuff Club and Boiler Room. She co-founded North East Social Club, promoting garage, jungle, and footwork in the region, and has brought artists like Interplanetary Criminal and Breaka to Singapore.

Counter Culture - 09/08/2025

Caspian grew up in Riwaka and now calls Ōtautahi, Aotearoa home. His sound moves through halftime, jungle, and minimal drum and bass - heavy, spacious, and built for deep listening as much as the dancefloor.

Starting with self-releases and local Christchurch label drops, he's since had tracks land on international imprints like Armory, Onset Audio, and Danger Chamber Digital. His latest work, the Contort EP on Takaka's Rooster Records, threads murky halftime grooves with atmospheric jungle and fractured breaks.

On stage, Caspian keeps it personal - sets stacked with his own productions, riding between dense halftime rollers, sharp breaks, and jungle that swells with texture. He's played festivals including Twisted Frequency, Rolling Hertz, Into The Vortex, and Oasis, and has shared the stage with artists like Phace and Particle.
