Fertil Discos is pleased to announce its first free digital release, called 'Costa', by @sleepingnacho.

'Costa' is positioned among cumbia, minimalist hip hop, and exquisite reggaeton and it's inspired on a Paraná River's Delta trip, when the sun goes down: a water stream full of past, present and future images dazzles the night. 
A synthetic 5-track EP, half dark, half light. Among the casuarina leaves, the whispered voices of urban hip hop warrior Sara Hebe, the poems of Hugo Mugica and Cecilia Pavón, the trip itself turns onto a lisergic experience yet highbrow, which gets to its climax with 'Breslau', containing the sweet and smokey strings played by Jhon William Castaño Montoya.

We have the exclusive premiere of the new Chapter 24 track "Aspice" from Sam Pauli & Reiver

The seventh chapter is upon us.

For this latest story in sound, Sam Pauli and long-time collaborator Reiver draw on a blend of holy and unholy influences to bring us a new and heady mix.

Taking inspiration from a 16th Century a cappella choral piece, Aspice is a perfect summer track. Carried by choirs, a dreamy pad and an entrancing house groove we find ourselves transported: looking to the heavens, taking flight across azure skies. Uplifted, we skirt the edges of the divine...

Next up, Olivier Weiter (Armada/Sudbeat/Parquet) offers up his own take on things. For his first release on Chapter 24, Weiter maintains the original’s vocal sample while adding new hooks and interweaving complex and compelling textures into a tense and uplifting piece.

Where the original Aspice takes us to the sky, KatrinKa’s Edition is far more grounded, even subterranean. A heads down powerful groove takes hold in a track perfect for the dancefloor. Following a killer drop at the end of the main break, we find ourselves in the seventh circle of the inferno…and it’s never felt so good!

Finally, Chapter 24 co-founder Paul Nolan picks things up for his Look To The Universe Edition. With a relentless and entrancing groove allied to rolling bass guitar licks, the track unfolds into something of an epic, never once dragging despite its thirteen minutes. Cosmic and melancholic, this truly is music to make you feel connected with the universe.

Sakura (Part I - Hanami)

The sakura represents the beauty and fragility of life, serving as a visual reminder of how precious and precarious our existence on this plane is.  Hanami, the Japanese tradition of enjoying the transient beauty of the sakura's flowers, is practiced during the tree's two week blooming period and generally consists of having outdoor parties beneath the sakura.  This set is my expression of hanami through a lense of deep house.  Dreamy, atmospheric tracks made for drifting and enjoying the spring air, reflecting on beauty and blessings.  This is Part I of a two part series.  Part II will capture yozakura (hanami at night), with a more somber and mournful approach.  The series is dedicated to those who lost their lives in the earthquakes that hit Japan last week - R.I.P.

Heute präsentiere ich euch Elias Doré aus Berlin. Seine musikalische Basis liegt im Spielen von Saxophon/Klavier und seine Inspiration holt er sich von seinen Reisen. Elias Musik hat viele Facetten … mal deep/treibend … mal ethnoverspielt und downtempo. Je nach Party oder Podcast steckt er viel Zeit in die Vorbereitung und Zusammenstellung seiner Sets und dieses tiefe Eintauchen in die Musik spürt man sofort.

Diesmal hat er uns ein Set kreiert das sich zwischen den Welten bewegt … auf der einen Seite deep und ruhig … aber doch auf seine besondere Art sehr treibend. Eli tausend Dank für dieses umwerfende Set.
