Swedish maestro @Opolopo has been a longtime favourite here at Le Visiteur. Whether he is crafting sublime house, exquisite Nu Disco or off the wall jazz edged house edits he's an artist who's production and dancefloor know how always shines through.

His latest project see's him hook up again with longtime label contact @Localtalk for Opolopo Tweaks a ten track compilation which see's him going to work on some of his favourite tracks from the Local Talk catalogue. The result as you would expect is rather brilliant, and sure to see the compilation capturing DJ's attention across the globe well beyond 2021. 

We have spoken to both Opolopo and Local Talk about the project which you can check on LV online. Now Opolopo has put together a rather brilliant mix for us. • the 'Disco mix' is the main one, produced with a strong 1982 boogie influence, a slight afro feel and a bouncy Prophet bass leading the whole track

• the 'Beat Street mix', is a tribute to the Electro-Funk era, made for the dancers (I was one), vocoders and long synths with LFOs etc... 1984 vibe !

Full recording of my 3 hour set from Sound Department Ascolti in Taranto Italy. Played from 3.30am - 6.30am when the sun came up. Truth be told it was one of the best gigs I've ever had the fortune of playing and big thanks to Marco and all the folks at Sound Department for booking me and having confidence in me to play there. Austrian tennis coach Norbert Kainz made some nice recordings in the early 80s. This is taken from his 1982 release "Persönlich". Check his other music too, it's really worth it, especially if you understand some german :)

@aroop-roy is easily one of the most exciting artists in the UK over the last few years. Pulling together an exciting smorgasbord of sounds from across the musical spectrum including Jazz, Afro, Latin, Funk with the 4/4 dancefloor edges of disco and house it's a fusion which is designed for the dancefloor and is as eclectic as it is exciting.

With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic, is one of the most versatile and informed DJ as they come.

He used to be the key character concerning music knowledge in Berlin. After a long decade at  OYE records store he left the business to become a 100% touring DJ and also to do a series of Dance Jazz Edits (Illegal Jazz) which create a massive buzz in the new house and funky dance world (support from Gilles Peterson, Honey Djoon and many others)

Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. An open-minded talent, with an uncompromising approach to DJing, he employs a style schooled from an upbringing in hip-hop. Delfonic is the model DJ - he’ll warm the crowd up, get them dancing and then provide the scope and context that will keep the heads on board.
