Biography:

Born into a family that has always had an interest in music, Proudmich quickly discovered a deeper passion for the craft. Mainly his father has always been a large influence in appreciating quality music of all kinds, genres and time periods, not in the least demonstrated by the fact that the man allowed his son to play around with his precious record collection. When listening to a signature Proudmich set, the soundtrack to a childhood of fun and dancing is never far off.

His true journey into the music scene, however, began at the age of thirteen, when he was given his father's old iPod. As was to be expected from his old man, the device contained an exceptional musical library built out of a mix of pop, rock, electronic music and much more. An impressive little gadget with even more impressive content, which provided him with a great all-round music collection to experiment with. In more recent years, Proudmich has developed a special love for disco, soul & funk, which reaffirmed his belief that an energetic dance floor is synonymous with a good time for everyone. (Secretly, it also makes him wish he could have lived in the 80ies, but don't tell him I told you)

The DJ has never been one to stick to one specific genre. Being exposed to music all day every day, from childhood until now, and having carried that inspiration with him through every aspect of his life prevents him from doing that. Instead, when performing, Proudmich always uses all kinds of music celebrating the variety of life. You can expect an out-of-the-box blend of modern tunes, hidden treasures and golden oldies.

His appreciation of music also naturally flows into a love for people. He considers it his mission to put a childlike smile on everyone's face with his sets, but putting that same smile on his face is easy: just throw in a quirky dance move that shows you embrace your inner weirdness. Or, when you're not quite ready yet to 'dance like nobody's watching' in public, you could always offer him a hot chocolate instead...
