Reverie

I should keep my mind on a leash,
But it left with reason and logic,
Thinking is dangerous,
They ask if it hurts,
They say your mad I'm not,
There's nothing wrong,
It's ok to say something is wrong,
There's nothing wrong with you,
Just an imbalance of chemicals.

All this time, dripping through.

Unspent time sold off to silly dreams,
Mistakes, misunderstandings, realisations,
A forgetful idea that those ideas never existed,
traversing between what it is, and what it never was,
What it could of been, and what it shouldn't have been,
I'm searching and losing and not caring,
Cause I could re-write the whole thing,
And you wouldn't have believed any of it.

Sinking into pattern,
Restless fury at the system,
Nothing can be changed,
Everything can be learned,
Unbolt this piece of me,
Drill open the skull,
Trying to fit the spex,
To the generalisation.

Wishing as hope isn't going to succeed,
Work, persistence, dedication, practise,
Hope and wishing won't cut the mix,
Don't tell us a slogan or a social post,
What we began and where it's going,
Those left behind are scared,
I tried to make a difference,
I tried to make it matter.

I lost, I lost my mind in my room alone,
I looked under my bed, along my bookshelf, and through my CD's, No fault but my own,
I never understood most of that still makes me,
Just shed of ideas I was using,
But my mind wouldn't have any of it,
Face this truth, realise I'm so screwed up,
You think I'm running,
It never made sense, and this doesn't make sense either,
But I am who I am?

Am I who I am?
I'm the only one I trusted,
You had doubt in my mind,
I was the first to come to my minds defence,
Cause if you don't you might as well call me crazy,
Your still trying to deny,
You know you're on med's for life? 
And for good reason,
Wasn't there a gram of sanity in it anywhere?

Phantom Edit V2

I started this a few weeks ago, when I was feeling more than a bit discouraged.

I know everyone gets to feeling this way sometimes, and so this is my offering to all of you who periodically feel this sense of hopelessness. I know what it is like. Hang in there, pray, ask a friend for help, know that there is always someone who cares. Know that I care, even if I don't know you by face or even by name. Perhaps one day I will.

Even more importantly, know that God cares. Never forget that.
