Defined by their bright, modern Pop Rock with a powerful 80’s vibe, Aura Spei is a Venezuela-based two-piece indie band formed in 2017 by singer/bassist Nicole B. Beaufrand and guitarist Jimena Diaz. That same year, they composed and recorded their debut EP, “Crushing”, which features the production of Hector Miranda, singer/guitarist of Venezuelan band Del Pez. Together they assembled a lively ‘power trio’ sound, reminiscent of The Police with a touch of The Cure as well as contemporary bands such as Paramore and Sunflower Bean. The combination of Beaufrand’s sweet voice and Diaz’s colorful guitar gives their music a strong emotive impact.

Following the recording of the EP, all band members left their mother country. Thus, the editing, mixing, and mastering were done after they had split up through Spain, Argentina, and the United States. Although it took some time, with the assistance of Luis Chacón on the mixing and Eduardo Bergallo on the mastering of the songs, the band finally felt satisfied enough to let their record see the light.

La Selva Musical es una revista digital, en proceso de gestación.  Es una revista hecha por músicos, la cual esta dirigida a todos los amantes de la música. Su principal función será filtrar a todos aquellos proyectos musicales venezolanos en un solo lugar: proyectos vivos, proyectos muertos, proyectos que acaban de nacer... y todo aquello que marcan un precedente en el movimiento musical venezolano.
