This ecstatic dance mix was performed live by MIRAJA in honor of his friend's passing. The music on this mix came from Buddha Bomb's DJ library featuring some of his favorite artists. 

BUDDHA BOMB aka James D. Jobson (Jim) died on February 22, 2023, a few minutes after the beginning of his 71st birthday, which coincided with the start of Losar, the Tibetan “Water Rabbit” New Year that is considered an auspicious day in the Tibetan calendar. He was a devoted student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He took great pride in serving Trungpa Rinpoche as a member of the Dorje Kasung in the early days. In this role, in 1974, he also drove the 16th Karmapa around Colorado, as well as Arizona where the Karmapa visited the Hopi Nation. In 1978, he was in one of the first graduating classes of Naropa University, in BA Psychology. After Trungpa Rinpoche’s Parinirvana, he became a close student of Khandro Rinpoche, helping her establish her sangha in the US. He founded the software company called Ridgen, Inc. that was successful for many years, and helped many sangha members find a livelihood in the field of software development.

In the last twenty years of his life, he developed a great passion for music. Through his music he touched the lives of thousands of people proving that you are never too old to follow your dreams or find a new passion. He was a DJ at KGNU radio station in Boulder Colorado since 1997, specializing in electronic music. Since 2001, he performed at music festivals, ecstatic-style dances, parties and events of all kinds. He devoted himself to elevating consciousness through using music as a transformational conduit to bring healing and joy to thousands. A Sonic Shaman, he provided the fuel for the dance journey, which can bring you to your deepest depth and your highest height. From Ambient to Ethno-Techno, Tribal House to Psychedelic Trance, to his own compositions, his sets were inspired and seamless. He had the ability to transport others on their own spiritual journey through music, dance and movement. He was known throughout Colorado and beyond by his DJ name “Buddha Bomb,” which was a takeoff from his Buddhist Refuge name “Buddha Bong.” *

DJ Abuelita is a love letter to my mexican ancestors. It is a blend of sounds from ancient Mexico & celebratory sounds of the indigenous voices of Latin America & North America. Mixing world, ancient, & contemporary sounds to invoke a relatable modernness with deep roots into the earth and cultura. The intention is to take the listener on a journey where they feel wrapped in the warm blanket of the culture in this music through being immersed in expressive rhythms & sounds that invoke movement, dance, & meditative motion. Accompanying a collection of different songs carefully curated by myself, DJ Abuelita sets also feature some original music & poetry of my own (Jade Sanchez) woven in the mix for a more personal touch & extra dose of feminine energy. The intention for this project is for it to be offered in select ceremonial containers, dance spaces, & womens gatherings. I hope you enjoy this deep heart offering from my soul to yours. She has a gift for merging cultures in sound, the music dripping with sexy on any occasion she takes to the decks. Over twenty years deep in the West Coast game, deLphi remains magik maker and mystic; no stranger to spiritualized shanti nor the trillest dancehalls.  Ever the purveyor and tastemaker, the DJ refreshingly blends psychedelic bass textures with sublime femininity and an urban aesthetic. Delphi is the rare classicist able to weave yesterday's tomorrow into a textured afghan distinctly her own.

Celena Delphi is a multi-faceted artist, poet, DJ and earth activist, rooted in a foundation of community studies, permaculture, grassroots organizing and arts education.  Born in Summertown, TN and raised up in the arms of intentional community, Delphi has always been motivated by her deep understanding of art as an imperative tool for expression, communication and transformation, both individually and collectively.

Delphi's early creative explorations included poetry and renegade screen-print missions, beginning to evolve her identity and her offerings through language and free expression. She began Dj'ing in 2002, weaving musical maps to express a global movement born of the passionate uprising of the people in response to globalization and oppression. Through this work, Delphi began to more deeply understand music as the universal language of a (r)evolutionary generation.

From that place, Delphi co-founded the Goddess Alchemy Project, a women's multi-media collective and music group devoted to uplifting and empowering the divine feminine within all peoples as a key to true global sustainability.  Goddess Alchemy Project continues to travel extensively in the US and Internationally, building a quickly expanding and dedicated following.

Delphi also co-founded alKEMy deSignZ clothing line, which started as a basement art project and has expanded into a collective of artists and designers seeking to support themselves without sacrificing creative expression and artistic integrity. In the midst of this, within Goddess Alchemy Project Delphi has also helped to self-publish two poetry books, produce two albums, and build an extensive and interactive website.
