Next up on the Delsin off shoot that has so far offered up excellently deep house from Son.Sine and raw sounds from Gunnar Haslam is Sven Weisemann.  Known for his deep, atmospheric and cuddly house and dub on labels like Telrae and Mojuba, he draws on the heritage of Detroit and Chicago at the same time as imbuing tracks with his own sense of smoky, jazz infused soul. 

Up first here is 'Nijo', a crisp, crackling cut with heavenly pads and whispered vocals as well as a jostling, punchy drum line. It’s the rasping, bounce bassline that really sets things off, though, as it dynamically moves around and takes you with it every step of the way. 

Then comes 'Icaria', which again is smeared with blissful ambient pads, but also comes riddled with a lively, propulsive and buried deep drum line that makes this another forcefully deep house track despite its sensitive emotions. 
 
Lastly, 'Landscape' is a beatless dub excursion with synths shooting through it like rays of light through a deep ocean. A slowly churning current drives things along as you are left suspended in the midst of it all and this one closes out another superlative EP from both Delsin and Weisemann.

Rising Belgian artist Thomas Neyens (a.k.a. Kiani & His Legion) has crafted an invigorating listen, littered with a balmy fug of pads billowing like curtains in a breeze, perfectly complimenting the burbling synths levitating in mid-air and spiraling off into the starry ether.

Bathed in bittersweet ambience, with dashes of droning micro samples riddling its spine, 'Somdo Raptors' is embellished with beautifully melancholic yet trance-induced synths that carry a host of associations with them. Thomas Neyes masterfully utilizes the sonic illusion of high and low to perpetually shape-shift the track’s slippery outlines. The result is a compelling story, in which rhythms are fluid, warmth is the key, and fine morning excitement is guaranteed.

‘Somdo Raptors’ is set to be released on the Dutch imprint Something Happening Somewhere [SoHaSo] as one out of 12 tracks unified under the NOWHERE compilation series, featuring new offerings from the likes of Sigward, Quince, Patlac, Love Over Entropy, Kurt Baggaley, Mayaku, Tracey and Fader From Borneo.

PREMIERE: Kiani & His Legion - Somdo Raptors [SoHaSo]

We’re thrilled to premiere Kincaid and Sinàl, new additions to the Beesemyer Music family with their new EP 'A Very Stable Genius’. The EP comprises of two original tracks  'A Very Stable Genius’ and ‘Uma’ with John Monkman providing the remix of the lead track.

Both tracks showcase the new sound of these two pioneering London-bred artists. When asked about the EP, Kincaid and Sinàl explained: "Both tracks on the 'A Very Stable Genius' EP started their lives as odd, misfit creations of percussive and textural sounds. From these we wanted to create something using minimal elements, that still managed to take people on a journey through the sounds we've used. We wanted uncertainty, unease, and tension to be inherent in each track, which we hope will be clear from listening to both 'A Very Stable Genius' and 'Una’."

Prepare for a twisted ride into the deeper side of Techno.
