I stumbled upon Bionic Commando a few months ago, as part of Capcom Arcade Stadium, and for how janky the game itself is, the music instantly wowed me. ESPECIALLY this song that plays in Stage 4, which I just KNEW I had to pay some sorta homage to somehow..it was either gonna be that or Stage 2's cuz that one gets stuck in my head pretty often too.
I also gotta play the NES and GB ones soon, I hear they're REALLY good..

This is probably my first song where I could tell that the inspiration came from actual pop music (particularly the band chvrches).

Also, I wrote the parts during the first 37 seconds of this song without listening to it (hence the name of the song). That was a fun exercise.

Well, it's still snowing in Minnesota- so much, in fact, that we had school off today! In light of this unexpected break, I started working on a Famitracker cover of this excellent 90s bop that I've been listening to a lot lately for some reason. So far I've only fully worked out the chorus, but I'm in the process of making the verse, so expect a complete version to come along sometime soon.

One of my favorite 90s hits, now as an NES-styled jam! I started working on this a couple of days ago and actually already uploaded it as an unfinished project, so here's the finished version, now with verses and a few little tweaks to make it sound more spot on.

Made using a Winebottled version of FamiTracker on a MacBook Pro. I had a lot of fun making this, as 50s doo-wop is one of my favorite genres of music- and this is one of my favorite songs in that genre! I'm really proud of it as well, as the backing chord harmonies are a lot more rhythmically complex than a lot of my previous 8-bit covers. I created the thumbnail image using a crappy online image editor, and the custom Mario sprites were also made by me. If you enjoyed this, then consider checking out some of my other music– for instance, this is only one of several other chiptune covers I've created, the likes of which you can here in the playlists linked above. Or don't. This is just a hobby at the moment so I don't really give a crap tbh.
