On the way home, a bunch of people happily welcome his homecoming.

Alphys takes the role of Toriel. She is not Asriel's mom, but she is still his teacher. She is the first re-introduced character beside Asriel. She is first seen in a school bus, waking up Asriel from his sleep. She then drives him back home.

Rudolph "Rudy" Holiday takes the role of Asgore. He is a jovial, jokey, and energetic type, although he is a bit of a dunce sometimes. He is Noelle's best dad and he loves Asriel's family and will do anything for them, in this case, he sends Noelle to hang out with Asriel so Asriel won't have to feel lonely with someone around.

King of Spade takes the role of Lancer. He rewards Lancer a "son of the month" and lets him rule the entire kingdom for one day. Inevitably, he has to deal with those scums who muck around with his kingdom and stop them from trying to hail hard knocks on his land, at least that's what he thinks. While he prides himself on a monarchical role, he can be one hell of a jerky oppressor and even put the heat on people to commit to spadework. During Asriel's adventure throughout the dark world, the king will actually be the one to louse up his own domain and lay the blame on lightners for it. As an angel falls from light, the king immediately kidnaps her in order to set darkners free. And that is out of desperation.
