Vera was born in Cape Verde on Santiago Island in 1987. She moved as a child to Portugal where she lived her adolescence and discovered and refined her taste and feeling for music.

Her musical influence is based on different artist: Cesaria Evora, Sara Tavares, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Michael Jackson, Al Jerrau, Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, Beatles, Luis Amstrong and other great musicians of international Blues, Jazz and Soul.


In 2006 Vera joined and studied in a theatre group named “Os Mandrágoras” with the well-known teacher Almeida Manuel Sousa. The group represented there plays called “Mandrágora em series” during two years in several cities of Portugal. Furthermore she worked in the famous theatre/musical house called “Chapito” (Circus arts school in Lisbon).
In 2008 her musical career started in Germany, where she met some musicians like Jocelyn B.Smith, Aja Duo between others.


It was also in Germany when she got more interested in the beauty of Bossa Nova, through permanent contact with Brazilian musicians. In this period she discovered her passion for her Cape Verdean roots as well.


In the summer of 2009 Vera Tavares & Band (Matutaía) participated in one of the greatest musical events of Berlin, “KARNAVAL DER KULTUR”, from there on she was booked for private events and concerts. Recognizing her value and talent, she was invited to do a tour with Matutaía (band) at the beginning of December in Brazil. The tour took three months and was a perfect opportunity to improve her Bossa and Blues skills and to gain some additional international experience.


Last year Vera Tavares completed the vacancy of the front singer as a part of the multi-cultural band of the “Orchestra Dunya Kady Ben”. They performed at a cultural event called “Werkstatt der Kulturen”, also held in Berlin.


In 2011 she decided to travel to Rio de Janeiro where she is working with Robertinho Silva (Milton Nascimento´s drummer), who was supporting her with new projects f.e. the Afro Jazz recording and club representations.

Now, 2012 she´s based in Berlin working in music.

e.no is a solo artist, producer and DJ from Berlin.
Finding inspiration in Nordic Singer/Songwriters, Indie Pop, trashy 90s radio Dance and electronic funk, he oscillates and conciliates between honest, hand-crafted songwriting and the glittering, noise-heavy parallel sphere of electronic music. Be it a sparsely arranged, almost inaudible acoustic song or a massive, itchy dance track – he always stays devoted to new inspirations and forms of expression.
On stage he thrives with an astonishing range of styles and provokes both ears and dancing muscles with his vocals, piano, Glockenspiel, synthesizers, effects and his trumpet. 
Besides continuous performances on festivals and stages in Germany, Prague, New York, Bucharest and Copenhagen, e.no writes music for theatre plays, animation films, web TV series and a smartphone game, but also produces and remixes other artists and projects.

Elements of Operatic drama, Neue Deutsche Welle, Psychedelic Rock and french pop music inspired the sound she began to develop.
