I've been on a big Naked Flames kick lately, and so I wanted to make a lo-bit EDM track in the vein of his recent albums. A 40-second sketch turned into a 6 and a half minute rager. Hope you all enjoy and the sound doesn't weird you out too much. This will be on a future Vast Error album so stay tuned for that!

So I decided to turn "News Cruise, Chips and Grooves" into a full album about The Deviled Egg's devious adventures. This is the second track so far.

W.I.P. from May 2022 that I haven't got round to continuing yet, so it peters out, gets stuck, or just outright stops at a couple points.

Chopped vocals sung by Isabella Rothman.

Melody and chords done with SQ80, some quiet bleeps from ring-modulated Timbre Wolf. Serum bass, Synth1 fizzy notes. Airwindows Isolator filter (I think) and ValhallaDSP echo.

This song and most of the songs that will be released in the future for this album are very heavily inspired by 2006-2010 era flash game music. This one in particular was one I used for experimenting with the genre and to see if I could even successfully make something in that style. It was also originally intended for a game that I had cancelled after some poor decision making on my part. (The name is based off of that said game and its story)


One of the main things I tried testing with this song was getting the compression of the song to fit juuuuust right with how flash used to compress audio. I don't think it's perfect, but I think it is close enough that I'm ok with it :D


Either way, I'm glad to finally have this out the door, and soon even more to come, allowing others to hear the stuff I poured a lot of effort into.

This track took me about 3 weeks to finish, but it finally paid off :)

I was inspired to make this track after watching a documentary about Oscar Peterson (hence the name 'Oscar's Chip'). Specifically this part (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI-4HNQg1JI) is what caught my attention. You'll notice that the chord progression used here and in my track are quite similar :)
