Brilliant classic story telling from books meets technology... better than audio books... has accompanying music to assist with the story... love it... no hollywood visuals hehehe... still an element of imagination possible for the audience... not just a theme park ride... thank you for creating and sharing! awesome!

Semus and Ragan have been hiding high up in the Mountains living off the land. When all went pear shape and people were being herded like Cattle, they made a dash for it to get away before they could be caught. The new World Government have decided to place in categories the remaining World population. Some will be kept with others being exterminated. Seventy years of age is the cut off point but also younger if you have medical problems, disabilities or unable to work due to health problems. No time or money will be spent on damaged humans. Only useful survivors will be branded chipped and placed into the category that best suits the Government.  
After many years of War and destruction from Nuclear Weapons the population has been culled and now is about 1 Billion. Of course many of these remaining humans now suffer radiation sickness and will still die with others who managed to escape in turmoil suffering aftermath problems. Few are healthy and fit. The new breed of human will be determined and orchestrated by the Government under the new laws of one Governing body with all old Countries and religions gone.  Welcome to "EARTHLAND." 

Semus is roughly 55 years old and Ragan 24 years old. Manius is about the same age as Semus and Celia is 30 years old.

To survive, you must be alert and fast under all circumstances, plus you must have survival skills because you never know what might be coming your way.

For this song I have rediscovered my 1980s Fender Stratocaster Elite guitar, which has provided the nice crunchy and a bit aggressive single coil sound. As this guitar has active pick ups it produces a lot of sustain, so that as well the solos were really flowing easily.

The Chorus has a psychedelic vibe to it but with its own unique twists and turns.  I tried not to box myself into corners with my lyrics and used a very open ended process to my word smithing.  I felt know need to present you anything too "air-tight" in terms of story or arrangement.  This is what I love about song writing. I toss up ideas (the crazier the better) and see what happens.  Once I have a kaleidoscope of working pieces I gently mold them into forms that contain loose tendrils of cohesiveness and meaning but only just barely.  This is one of those song's I created with no preconceptions or creative borders and I just let my mind go where it wanted to.  Sometimes this works and sometimes it is a disaster.  In this case I arrived at something I liked enough to share with you.  

Never mind that Dave, what is the song about?  

It has something to do with the excruciating beauty of a sunrise.  It has something to do with love.  It has something to do with how quickly time moves forward.  It has something to do with how impermanent everything really is (including us).  It has something to do with how lucky we are to be the tiniest spark of a flame witnessing this miracle before us for the most minuscule parenthesis in time.  It has something to do with stepping out of my self imposed cage, and yet not running away and hiding.  It has something to do with staring this beautiful, wild catastrophe of existence right in the face and enjoying the ride.   Far Out Dude. Now go put your favorite tie dye shirt on, grab a cup a coffee and listen to my song : )!   Groovy Man…..Will Do!

the corona virus it sneaks into human society

We sit here and waste our earth and wonder if nothing works.
Then we wonder, but not about what we failed to live here in this life
Yeah I'm pretty pissed off and sad and I'm shamed, that it had to come to this,
before I may leave this world.
