Hands Off Gretel are a 4-piece alternative rock band, formed late 2014 in South Yorkshire, UK.

The band emerged from a music venture and friendship between singer/songwriter Lauren Tate and guitarist Sean McAvinue. Following a tumble down the stairs at rehearsal and a few broken bones (literally!) the pair started a new band together, with Lauren moving onto rhythm guitar the pair wrote songs inspired by their joint love of 90’s bands. Joined by Danny Pollard on bass and Laura Moakes on drums, the four came together for the first time in October 2014 to breathe life into a collection of songs written by Lauren. Harnessing a raw, dynamic energy and channelling it through songs that really get stuck in your head, H.O.G. is a band you have to see.  

The band’s front woman, Lauren, takes her inspiration from “ballsy women” fronting punk/grunge bands.
“I am always searching for female singers with integrity and attitude who don’t rely on over-sexualised imagery to sell their music, but they are hard to find. So I set about creating music that I wanted to listen to and couldn’t find, unless I looked back 25 years! I’m sure there are others who also want to hear this music.”

It’s a daring leap into a 90’s alternative sound that sees Lauren following her true musical ambitions, resisting the easier routes to success that have been offered. With YouTube views now approaching 2M and a social profile of over 20k followers, her incredible vocals are evident for all to see & hear. Hands Off Gretel has a solid platform to get their new music out.

The band launches in February 2015 with 3 free download tracks, a new video and a series of live dates, which will be built upon in the coming months. Jeremiah Rickenbacker Doonican III, have quite the talent for Bar-Stewardizing other famous people’s songs with new satirical comedy lyrics, on folk instruments. Over the last 19 years, The Bar-Steward Sons have written and recorded eleven studio albums, independently released over 40 live recordings, successfully crowd-funded nine separate independent vinyl releases, played on top of mountains, wowed-festival goers across the length and breadth of the UK, had six different beers brewed and named in their honour by four different breweries (one of which, 'Doonicans' is a SIBA Gold and Silver award-winning part of the brewery's core range of ales), they have sold-out seven consecutive shows on a Mississippi paddle-steamer on the Norfolk Broads in less than 20 seconds, hosted their own sell-out music and comedy festivals, written & performed in their own musical, are featured in the Experience Barnsley Museum Music Archives, hold the bar-takings record for at least ten theatres, have been the recipients of six different individual awards as voted for by the public in the Barnsley Music Awards, played to 20,000 people at Fairport's Cropredy Convention (twice!), the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury Festival (twice!), recorded collaborations with the likes of Frank Turner and Eliza Carthy, and even scaled the dizzy heights of a #1 and a #2 single and a #2 album on the iTunes Comedy Charts (plus a National chart position in the Top 100)!  That's not too shabby for a daft little unsigned comedy folk band from Barnsley, who manage themselves, eh?

DEMOGRAPHIC is an Alternative/Indie band formed in 2010 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are a four-piece band consisting of lead singer/rhythm guitarist Billy Marsden, bassist/backing vocals Danny Pollard, lead guitarist/backing vocals Danny Hibbert, and drummer Andy Bassinder. 
 We have been called one of the best bands in Barnsley, playing original music in venues all across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
 Our sound is made up by such influences from Black Keys, Wombats, The Cribs and Arctic Monkeys which has helped us create our catchy lyrics and riffs’ using a mix of clean and distorted guitars and bass with amazing drum fills that complement the music just right.
 In the past 3 years of forming, we have played some amazing shows such as local festivals; BOMfest and Coalfields. Also at the release of our first EP, we sold out on the first night which was an amazing achievement for us. Since then we have released a Debut Album called '8493' which is now available to buy from us for £6, or visit iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, or Google Music.

 DEMOGRAPHIC - THE RIVERSIDE SELBY
 After roaming the music scene for many years looking for a band with a unique sound and onstage flare but returning no results it is safe to say that Barnsley boys Demographic are the full package band, a tight live sound, uniquely written songs and on stage presence second to non with interactions with the audience throughout the set, the band are fairly fresh on the scene and are already making new fans at any given chance, the crowd were very well receiving and seemingly wanted more from the band, if this show is anything to judge from it is safe to say Demographic will be a force to be reckoned with in the UK music scene, an enthusiastic, original and highly entertaining bunch of lads.
