Free Range is an independent Southern Psychedelic Rock band from Athens, AL comprised of drummer Jeremy Drawbaugh, vocalist and guitarist Billy Smith, and bassist Seth Facundo. The band got its start in 2013 performing out and around the North Alabama Music Scene. For years they played as many four hour cover gigs as they could, building up their set catalog as well as their chops. As the depths of the band’s sets and fans deepened over this time, they fixed their focus on forging their own brand of original music, and thus the band’s creative collective began to flow its way through to the recording medium.

       With Free Range’s 2017 release of their Hippie Cowboy EP, the band showcased the tones and textures of their origins. The five songs on this release represent the basics of Free Range’s core aesthetic, Southern Rock. It gave the band a stepping stone to begin spreading their influence through social media and online stores alike. The following 2 years there after the band focused their efforts on writing, recording, and producing their self-titled, debut album independently. With the 2019 release of their full-length LP, they catapulted their sound past the traditional boundaries of their Southern Rock roots, and into the intrinsically imaginative terrain of the Progressive Psychedelic genre.

       Today, Free Range fixes their focus on the support of their debut album by bringing their potently powerful performances to the masses, and broadening the radius of their influence to even more events and venues within the Southern states of the U.S.

Während Max Mustermann sein mustergültiges Dasein fristet, tanzt Jim Anders gerne mal aus der Reihe. Der Berliner Künstler Jim Anders steht für tanzbare elektronische Sounds und Texte am Puls der Zeit. Beeinflusst von vielseitigen urbanen Musikstilen, kreiert er einen ganz eigenen mitreißenden Sound. Seine Texte mit Tiefgang geben dabei Raum zur Reflektion. Wo energetische Beats auf modernen Elektropop treffen, wird der Großstadtdschungel zur Leinwand und der Rausch im Club tanzbar.



Als Soundtüftler und Sänger führte ihn sein breites musikalisches Interesse auf Ausflüge in Elektro Duos, Rap- und Avantgarde Projekte, wodurch er sein Talent entwickelt hat, unterschiedliche Stilrichtungen neu zu denken und sie zu etwas Einzigartigem zu mixen. Das Ergebnis ist die 1. veröffentlichte Jim Anders EP Lauf!, die in Eigenregie im heimischen Studio bei BaumSoundBerlin entstanden ist und mit 6 kraftvollen Tracks aufwartet. Moderne Musik kann auch anders - reinhören, aufdrehen, abgehen!
