Introducing Maltese DJ and @Proton resident: D.S.L (@strangelylost)

"At a young age music was always a friend and a hand to hold on to during difficult times. I was lucky enough to have a family which is also passionate about music. That helped me be more curious and start defining different sounds. At the age of 18 I had my first gig at Liquid Club, Malta, with former artists Ian Zahn, Duplex and magical Junior B. Years passed by and I started to build my own studio to practice and create new sounds."

Liuos seemed to arrive on the dub techno scene all at once with Terms EP, his strong debut on Cold Tear Records, but this was the culmination of two decades of experimentation and discipline. A unique mix of power and spaciousness, of both longing and will, Liuos’ work stands out for its clarity and expansiveness. Working steadily from his modest studio in Finland, Liuos has quietly become a respected name in the world of dub techno, with releases on Cold Tear, Lucidflow, and spclnch, and remixes for Superordinate Dub Waves and Off Records (Belgium).

Demure Circle is an electronic music and art collective based in San Francisco.

Community. Intention. Expression. Sincerity. 

At the center of Demure Circle is a community building sincere connections through art. We’re removing the barriers of pretension and ego disconnecting us from the experience of each other, music, dancing, and life. We are people finding ourselves through the art of life, or a life of art. Our narratives are told through the music we play and stories we paint.
